Commented out lines in the .fbi file generally aren't bugs as they have to be put there manually :P

SWTA Gnome Edition 0.60

Clever naming scheme eh? ;) Now, you may be wondering why this is here. "But Gnome," you say, "zwzsg has already ported SWTA to Spring!" I've just kind of picked up where he stopped. The most significant difference between this version and his is that I took out the Imperial Authority units. Nothing...

Read the main page, they released a new version of the engine :P

Buggi generally deals with the latest CVS builds anyway, as far as I know.

The pad pieces are really more defined in the script than the model. You could name it "OMGPLANELANDSHERE" and it'd work fine (well... assuming it accepts names that long, I forget if it does or not, but let's assume so for the sake of argument :P) as long as you defined the pieces right in the scri...

i dont see why the sky or night/day shouldnt have an effect on gameplay. night could cause reduced los, as could mist. electrical storms could have strange effects on your units. ie causing planes to randomly drop outa the sky, fusion reactors to stop and start, weapons to malfunction. Please, no r...

He wants the music to be specific for the time of the game though... like a nice quiet track while you're just building and nothing's going on, which emerges into a powerful score when a battle breaks out, then after the battle it plays another calm-ish track based on your win/loss performance (whic...

Re: New map format

-Possibility to read texture tiles from other files. YAY! Now we can just make a few high quality tile packages, distribute them, and have future maps reference them so people don't have to download all of that redundant data again! Of course, there could still be unique style maps, but the fact th...

Put simply in English, Winrar can compress zip and rar files, and it can decompress zip, rar, 7z, ace, iso (not that they're actually compressed...) and a few other formats I forget off the top of my head. Even rar has a bit of an advantage over zip...

Eh, Redfish, the stars in our own galaxy between us and the Magellan Clouds and Andromeda would distort the light from them with their gravity, regardless of atmosphere. Surely the men on the moon would have noticed "OMG GIANT GALAXY IN THE SKY!!" while they were there if it were only the atmosphere...

Yeah, you zoom with the scroll wheel, but I can see how that'd be a problem for those without it... surely the SYs have already put in an alternate method for zooming?

Yes, it's pretty, but I'd hate for my galaxy to be that close to another :P [edit] Just a quick thought: how hard would it be to put in a "NoClouds=1;" tag for .smd files to completely shut off clouds from rendering (for moon maps, for example)? And, for that matter, how hard would it be to make a "...

Edit the sidedata.tdf file to modify the Commander unit.

Spring supports scripts for prebuilt armies/bases/whatever already, but you have to recompile the exe to add your own in.

BL: and like I said on the last page, I tried it and it worked fine. Are you using my version or Buggi's version of the exe? Sinbad: Yes... stretch the map size... that way you get nice stretched pixellated textures, blocky heightmaps, metal spots that are 16 times larger than they're supposed to be...
