As far as the swampy and unit speeds and such, it doesn't work. Because the hovers suck ass, so no one ever builds them, so I scrapped the idea. They really suck that badly that they're not worth building even when there's an obvious mobility advantage? Yeah, it's sort of like, an army of hovers an...

 CHRIST FFS STOP IT WE HAVE HAD INNUMERABLE POSTS ABOUT THIS. :? It seems to me that there are Innumerable Post About This because it is both Difficult and Important. I mean, this is tricky ground both legally and technically. People are right- the scripting language is probably a darker grey...

I am only partially joking when I say, Spring is my anti-MMORPG If you start feeling the urge for magic swords and LFG spam again, get Guild Wars. If WoW is crack, GW is one of those Nicoderm Patches. It's a much less polished game engine, but the action is a bit faster, and most importantly the gam...

Well, I really liked Riverdale and all the smaller maps it was divided in. But it seems that metal maps get the most attention in the lobby. That was the other one mentioned online. I couldn't remember the name. And yeah, Core Indus and Speedmetal weren't recomended as awesome maps, it was more lik...

For someone who is just downloading spring for the first time, what are the comunities suggestions for maps/mods/AI's ect. that are Must Have to get the full experience? The responces in the client when asked about maps were: Altored Divide Green Comet Core Prime Industrial Speed Metal I'd probably ...

My copy of photoshop has decided that it no longer likes to make new files, due to "a program error".

I appologize for making you all wait, one shouldn't start a thread unless one intends to use it.

Yup. The movie wasn't so good, IMO. The miniseries from the sci-fi channel was quite good on the other hand. The actors had different accents depending on their planet of origin, which I thought was quite a nice touch. On topic, the metal map would correspond quite easily over into spice... But sinc...

All dune games were generic shitty RTS play with low re-play value,. Mixed feelings on the games, but I think we can all agree that the books those games were made from are totally win. So pull a lot of material from the books and you'll be ok. A dune mod really calls for a Gaia player so you can t...

Nice idea. You might think about zero-suming metal and leaving energy as is, it'll cut down on your work load to not have to modify all the weapons that use energy to fire, units that use energy to move, cloaking energy, ect. Also, it seems like storage capacity might become an issue- you'll have me...

It is unfortunately true that for gaming, you need XP. If cash is an issue, Linux is free but you have to be pretty leet to get the emulation working 100%. Note that getting it to work 80% of the time is actually pretty easy. OS X hasn't been brought up, but for good reason. It's terrible for gaming...

Added some hatches, feedback is welcome. Big project coming due at university, so I probably won't have time to do another sheet until the weekend. -Erom PS- Cheesecan, I would consider spring pretty revolutionary, not from a gameplay or feature standpoint (where, you are correct, it is a logical ev...

Glad for the response. Hatches would make a nice set, do that next I think. Difficult thing about mechanical stuff is that you often want that to match the feel of each unit individually, where as decals are something you want consistent accross an army and thus are nice to just slap on there. I'll ...

Decals for skins

Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself... loved TA, think spring is revolutionary, but you won't see me playing during my school term. Like to spend my free time doing things with pixels. As sort of a introduction, here: http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/257/romannums3hy.png Just some icons si...
