Now that would be cool.

Increasing the Saturation and Brightness/Contrast is what I've always done as well. lol

Funny how we've never talked about that before and yet we all do the same thing >_>

I actually played that a few weeks ago. Was pretty fun. Never discount the value of a good 2v2.

It could still use some additional polish, but I can say with confidence that the gameplay is solid.

Re: The BOTA Thread - Version 1.6 Beta ready for open testing!

In response of Slogic, The Collidefriendly and Avoidfriendly tags were added by me back in version 1.4

They were designed that way on purpose with the idea that some of them (vertical launch weapons for instance) are too powerful to be collide=0. So yes, Collide=1 was intentional.

Re: The BOTA Thread - Version 1.6 Beta ready for open testing!

Well, it IS a VULCAN. It's a T3 Superweapon, it shouldn't be used as a base defense or short range weapon. And if it has been used as such, you probably should have been losing.

Re: The BOTA Thread - Version 1.6 Beta ready for open testing!

I'll go ahead and change that in the next version. I think the main point of that originally tho was not to allow a super weapon to be turned into a close range base defense. But just for you I'll change it.

Re: The BOTA Thread - Version 1.6 Beta ready for open testing!

So it was just hitting the ground while shooting straight ahead? Or where units in front of it? Update: I just ran a test ingame, and I wasn't able to reproduce the problem you were just talking about. The vulcan shot safely through all friendly units until they reached their target area, then they ...

Re: The BOTA Thread - Version 1.6 Beta ready for open testing!

slogic, thanks for the bug report, i was aware of a few of those, but others I had no idea existed. The vulcan should not be hitting those units at all, unless of course they simply are at the point where they are going to hit the ground anyways. I'll check the weapon definition to that. As to the A...

Re: New Map - EvoRTS Swampvalley

I like it a lot, i was originally going to complain about the lightings and shadows, but then I set up a custom SMD myself, and I realized that the trees do crappy blocky shadows, so FA's choice in lighting was probably wise, however, it IS really dark... Maybe brighten up the texture?

Re: So, about that mappers only forum.

tbh, i have to side with lurker and zwzsg. I've produced plenty of small filesize maps that follow a tiling patern and the file size is definitively smaller than that of more "photorealistic" maps of similar screen size. You simply have to keep your textures simple and clutter free and the compiler ...
