What do you mean by this?

The amount of light green in that chart is highly concerning.

Re: Can't reinstall SpringLobby

Why? What was the reason for such an action from your antivirus software?
Create the directory/change permissions on it. I cannot say more without more information.

Re: This behavior is unacceptable

Rules are meaningless when there is noone to enforce them. I would also like to plug the fact that there are very few us right now answering newbie questions in #newbies and the only lobby mod somewhat present there is Triton. The time between questions and answers is on average measured in hours an...

Re: infologs.springrts.com

Perhaps Mantis has a suitable API which could be used for this? I'd rather not upload potentially broken replays to spring-replays and all such submitted files should be initially non-public.

Re: infologs.springrts.com

infolog-only storage is a bad idea. There are several possible problems that can happen to players: Lobby crash Spring crash Errors in infolog due to game-map-AI-engine incompatiblitity ... I want to make Springlobby auto-upload all three of the above issues. Info that would be included would be a s...

Re: Compiling the engine but also making it available to be used with server hosting

...you get the name ( git describe --tags ) "104.0.1-675-ga7f92cfe6". Where do you get this name? I've always self-compiled engines (using the Gentoo ebuild overlay at https://github.com/springlobby/overlay) and I can both join public rooms with it without Springlobby asking for download AND I host...

Re: Help wanted: Player lobby client name & version reporting support to lobby protocol and Uberserver (langs: XML,Pytho

...but the access level is lobby mod/admin... Apart from Triton, there are no mods answering newbie questions in #newbies. The time-zone coverage of #newbies by people willing to help them/answer questions in general is far too low and response times are very bad. But that is a separate issue. AFAI...

Help wanted: Player lobby client name & version reporting support to lobby protocol and Uberserver (langs: XML,Python)"

Intro: When newbies require help, often the first thing that they are asked is what lobby client (and version) they are using. Implementing version reporting would skip this step and make life less frustrating both for newbies and people trying to help. What would be required from the community: Dec...

Re: An apology

Just try. It seems that us non-game devs barely play any more. I had my last game a week ago and then second to last one 5 weeks ago. There is even one particular dev that has not played any game in over two years now (as reported by replays site).

Re: A central "Help wanted" page for all projects

I cannot post directly to "Content Development" and none of its subforums fit the post with which I would like to start with: namely "Help wanted, add player lobby client name & version reporting support to protocol and Uberserver (langs: XML,Python)".

Re: A central "Help wanted" page for all projects

Discussion would be important as well. Ok, I guess we can start with forum threads and then in the future perhaps condense all the issues on a wiki page, should forum search prove to be insufficient.

Can somebody now create the "contribution corner" or "help wanted" subforum?

Now that you have ceased playing, you could shift that time into improving the spring ecosystem.

Re: A central "Help wanted" page for all projects

Wiki is a poor format for what you are after imo, forum is better. 'Contribution Corner' or such. I'd rather have something where people could quickly ctrl+f the whole page than use the search box. Plus it would be hard to [re]move completed/obsolete tasks. GSoC ideas are also not in forum but wiki...

A central "Help wanted" page for all projects

I'm of the opinion that many people would be interested in contributing in the various projects of the spring ecosystem, but are often turned away because of (not limited to): 1) the belief that doing so requires one to be a programmer 2) not knowing what needs to be done 3) not knowing who to ask f...

Re: Springlobby connect window improvements

It's nice that the login popup shows the spring logo. Why not springlobby logo? Well maybe because you are logging in to the spring lobby? Its not springlobby lobby. Plus I liked it the most of any I could find in my local catalog. probably because of something spring games are about machines, abou...
