Re: Java AI crashes with external libraries

Ah, I figured if my AI kept making units and sent out a fraction of them randomly it would eventually find everything, but it runs into bandwidth problems first...

Re: Java AI crashes with external libraries

Ah, thanks so much, those new jars fixed my problem!

Btw, what do you mean my AI 'kinda' killed NullAI? :-)

Java AI crashes with external libraries

I wrote my AI a long time ago and I decompiled the libraries then recompiled them into my project because I didn't know the jars could be used directly. Now I'm trying to do things the correct way by removing the decompiled files and using the jars instead. However, that causes my AI to die upon sta...

What does LoadingMT do in 98.0? Is it multithreaded spring or a placeholder?

java AI strange behavior online

When my AI plays in single player, it plays fine, and frequently beats KAIK and E323 AI. However, on multiplayer, it does weird, unexplainable things. It only works in multiplayer on sandbox mode with no other human players.It seems to work fine alone or vs other AI. Some examples of my AI's strange...

Re: WINE and initStatic() fail

Lower performance and possible bugs. It's a really bad idea. You don't have to build from source, check the download page! Some distros have spring packages, there are staticly linked downloads on springrts you can download and lobbies such as SWL that will do it automatically for you. Oh... thanks...

Sry for not replying, I put off getting the AI to work... but I am curious. Are there drawbacks to using WINE and spring instead of native linux spring? Lower performance? Only way to get Spring for linux is to build from source right?

WINE and initStatic() fail

I've downloaded openjdk and I'm running windows Spring portable on Linux, with WINE. My AI (that loaded 100% successfully on my old computer) keeps crashing saying that it failed initStatic(). I remember when I tried to get my Java AI working on the school macs with an emulator, it failed with a sim...

Re: How to know if java AI build order fail

Hm, sorry I didn't get to replying sooner.

unitIdle(Unit unit) sounds like the best way, only the downside is that the unit returned doesn't have any commands in its list, so you can't tell what it's failed build order was, or where it tried building...

How to know if java AI build order fail

How can I tell if one of my build orders fail if I'm making a java AI? Like if one of my builders tries to make a mex on top of a factory, will there be an event called?

Re: RAI 0.601

RAI isn't a very aggressive AI. It is able to play many games, but can't play many well. Chances are it was stalling resources or that you didn't play it long enough.

What map and game was it? How long did u play for?

Re: Java AI: How get unit damage and weapon range?

If you're using tech annihilation, I think the numbers may be weird too, as I once tried getting the LoS of a flash, and the number came out to be like 24 or something ridiculously small.
