Nobody really knows mechanics of EvoRTS well at all, I've seen it beat players due to it doing a rush they didn't expect possible and that's pretty much it. Way too early to say if the AI is playing in the correct manner, or how well it's playing.

Yep, overshoot was a typo, I think everyone was talking of overkill only here.


Btw Alba, Starcraft is not about mindlessly spamming same units, BA has much more of that actually - those units are more different from each other and counter each other harder than here.

Customformations allows for a wide range of new possibilities in how you maneuver units. But removing overshoot just removes an aspect of the game, no new and cool micro really emerges from that.

And removing overkill is a bad idea, it's an important and interesting part of micro. Would have huge balance implications. Surely it would improve gameplay. It was not changed but anyway blades have no chance attacking equal cost aa, any aa,which was implied.

It isn't fully accurate to say KP has no resources - it just happens to have combined the resource gathering building with unit producing one. Balancing between how many constructors you make is still as crucial as in any game.

But it's also very easy to restrict units from any game.

Its not a matter of opinion, give yourself some blades, then give a nullai half the number of pulverizers, try to stun that. That's a lot more cost in the blades, but np, they still lose.

And in the end they didnt even kill anything in that scenario.

Rather dsd is the weird map, than the other way around. Long attack distance, but very narrow, borderline useless wind, mexes capped fast & easily, very hard to harass the back plateau, it means many people don't just know how to play a more "normal" map like Nuke winetr for example even if it is 8v...

GL trying to stop equal cost of aa with blades. 2 blades have 0 chance of stunning a crasher, pulverizer or samson (which costs more than 2 bladews but ofc has other use too), don't even mention fighters. And that's just for metal cost, in practice you need much more buildpower to make blades than a...
