Re: OMP Binaries
Thanks for the quick reply, FLOZi. Where and when do I use this command? Also, I still need to know if there's a way to install to a different directory.

Re: OMP Binaries
First, thanks for all the help I've been given so far! I've really learned a lot in this process. Ok, I finally got everything to run OK. It was being recognized as a different version of spring because (I think) there was a space in my version string. I redid the VERSION file and it plays online fi...

Re: OMP Binaries
Well, I got it to build OK. I played around on some maps with no problem, but I can't get NOTA Lobby to recognize it as Spring
So I haven't been able to test Sync online.

Re: OMP Binaries
Well, maybe the Compile/Getting source wikis need to be updated then. The source/comiling pages say over and over and over again to use Git to get the source, but then they only provide links to this page. Seriously, where on the Obtaining the Source does it give the git command to download a stable...

Is there anywhere to get these? I've got no experience in compiling programs outside of "Hello World" and similar programs. I've spent the past two hours downloading Git Bash, mingw, cmake, various libraries and the source, and now I can't get it to build. As much as I'd love to figure thi...

Re: Spring map pack 1,436 maps 19.58 GB (Torrent)
I do not see the use for such all-maps pack. Did you sort out some maps or it basically everything that is on springfiles? I think a mappack with some 10 to 20 selected map might be more usefull. Have some diverse maps from (1v1 to 12v12, land,sea,large,small,...) so players have a starting point. ...

Re: Spring map pack 1,436 maps 19.58 GB (Torrent)
ZK uses a huge number of maps that are auto-selected based on how many people are in the current battle. There are some users with hideously slow internet connections that can't download the maps very quickly and are constantly holding up each and every game as they download maps. Furthermore, ZK is...

Re: how to make multiple bombers bomb a line?
No no no.
1)Select bombers
2)Tap "A" once. DO NOT HOLD. Mouse cursor should turn to "attack" mode.
3)Hold alt.
4)Draw line

The 19 GB torrent. I've already got all the maps contained in the 1.6 GB torrent.

Re: Spring map pack 1,436 maps 19.58 GB (Torrent)
Would anyone with this file please seed for a bit? I've got a 100 mbit connection that I'd be willing to seed off of, but me and another user are stuck at 18.2%.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Total Annihilation + All Expansions on Sale this Weekend
Uh, that's sort of the point of GOG - Good Old Games. They specialize in outdated/out of publish games. They make them compatible with modern PC's and then sell them at low prices. How many times are they trying to sell this ancient RTS?

Total Annihilation + All Expansions on Sale this Weekend
GOG.com will be selling the Total Annihilation Commander Pack for only $2.99 this weekend. I've been playing TA in some form or another since '97 but lost my discs a few years ago. This is the perfect opportunity to pick up the game that started Spring. GOG games are also DRM-free and they do some h...

Oh great! I will be able to provide some replays and additional info! First, visit this link where I reported the bug on the Zero-K forum For some reason nukes crash my game when they impact. It doesn't happen 100% of the time, but I would say it happens more often than not. It occurs *on impact*. h...

Re: commander underwater can't shoot
In all seriousness, the commander is a useful tool on land for supplementing your early forces. Due to the nature of BA starting economics, you only have enough metal to make a handful of units. If you choose rock when your enemy chooses paper, it can be a costly mistake in early game. This is where...
