Re: Importing colored Blender Models
It depends if the models have a UV map, and if they have a texture to go with that UV map. If there is no UV map, I think you'll have to make one in Blender. If there is no texture, then there are ways to make a texture from the the materials and/or colors you see on your model. One way to do this i...

Re: Future of BAR
Can't say i agree with the the decision to revise or remove some of my models. :-) I worked hard on them, trying to make them look fun and original, trying to make them distinguishable on battlefield while at the same time recognizable as child of their factory and part of their faction. Trying to m...

Re: builder not building with an animation
Not entirely sure, but I think I remember signals need to be a power of 2. Like this:
local SIG_BUILD = 2
local SIG_BUILDANIM = 4
local SIG_BUILD = 2
local SIG_BUILDANIM = 4

Re: How to atlas - Help wanted!
@Behe I probably didn't do that often enough, although I did often triangulate distorted faces before mirroring to prevent having different distortions on each side of a symmetrical axis. In any case, nice tutorial-image :-) @Cremuss I think the atlas makes for a chaotic image but I think the textur...

Re: Lua "tutorial" guide..blob thing?
Some points: - I like the pragmatic approach I think you used. - In-game pictures with extra text are good I think. - And I'm afraid you'll only learn how helpful it is if you receive feedback from someone that is not that familiar to Spring. (It looks helpful to me, but I can't be sure because I al...

Re: Name suggestions for the BA remake
...sort of describes the war. That's why, at one time, I (internally) suggested FuBAR or even フBAR making it more original (but un-type-able :-) ) Edit: ...and I just realised it probably referred to that all along, which I didn't pick up on because I only was aware or the 'recognition' translation...

Re: Unofficial spring pages / profiles on social media
Sorry for my late response: had to run some errants. I think I'd rather work on a model than make a picture of it. And when my share of the workload is done might not mean BAR is done/ready. But I'll make a nice screenshot of the next model I finish, just in case. Something I forgot tao ask about th...

Re: Unofficial spring pages / profiles on social media
@AF Well, I made 2,5 (untextured) models this week. I have mixed feelings which motivate me: I like modelling BAR units, but on the other hand, I want to be done with it already. :-) If I keep working like I do now, I hope all the BAR models will finally be done soon. I suppose that would be news wh...

@Forb stfu = shut the *** up I'm not as ignorant as you might want to believe. I asked because I wanted to help you refraining from using such language. I'm surprised you did not get that. Also I think you are lucky you haven't been reprimanded for such language and are now abusing the spacial statu...

Re: Unofficial spring pages / profiles on social media
Well I think that may be a key-issue: I don't think he does.I don't get why he feels the need to dictate our efforts.
But I planned to make a model today, so I'll give it some thought while I'm going to do that now for a while.

Re: Unofficial spring pages / profiles on social media
@smoth Just because he wants something to be what he wants, that does not mean it exists or is realistically feasible! Yet he cannot understand that just because he wants it all his way Since no name is clearly mentioned in this statement, I'm again wondering: Are you referring to yourself? (yes, I ...

Re: Unofficial spring pages / profiles on social media
@Smoth Seems like you expect the world to make an apple into a steak. Have fun with that. I must admit this statement puzzles me. For instance: When you say "the world", do you refer to yourself? Could you be so kind as to explain the statement to me? @Forb Since I see no moderator acting ...

Re: Unofficial spring pages / profiles on social media
@AF
If I had a game ready I might take you up on your offer. Honestly not probably, because I think I won't have a game ready for quite a long time to come.
(still working on BAR, but stuff about that is behe's call)
@Smoth
As far as I can tell he only asked who owns that profile.

Re: Unofficial spring pages / profiles on social media
Are you responding to what I said AF. It seems so to me. Firing bullet-points at me? I'll try to deflect them. :-) 1 I tried to make a distinction between promotional-pages and supporting-functional-sites. I think (in example) a so called social-media-page falls into the first category, and you-tube...

Re: Unofficial spring pages / profiles on social media
I advise to read zwzsg's post again. It illustrates the situation quite nicely, i think. Then I if you still think a satellite-page in some others company's domain is a good idea, you may want to ask yourself this: "What is the page supposed to do? what is its ultimate function and its goal?&qu...

Re: Unofficial spring pages / profiles on social media
Knorke doesn't seem mad to me. I think he makes well-thought-trough points. One of which I think is: If some one wants to promote their game (for instance spring tanks, or EvoRTS ) this person should dedicate a page to that game. And as a bonus I'm throwing in a logical riddle, just for fun: If a kn...
