Re: Recent engines do not work on Manjaro/Arch Linux.

New Ubuntu also uses new libcurl. It's clear to me this should be distributed. Asking users to install *any* libcurl is a barrier.

I tried to make it statically compile but I failed. I'll try again later.

Re: Add a new rule for game hosting: all non-private rooms must have content that can be auto-dl from SF, rapid or build

Hey. Silentwings' idea was mostly about the engine. I see many mentions of rapid here, are we talking about the same thing? As far as public/official hosts go, they should most probably offer downloadable engines. Generally I'm not super in favor of this idea anyway, because it's bound to introduce ...

Re: [engine] 6000 bug reports

Hey Pics, for what is mostly an administrative tool, UX (shiny) matters. You want people to report and understand the state of the project? Why not use the best tools there are? PS: I just posted this as a random comment, I don't think it's a pressing matter - it's just that most people might not be...

Do we ever want to upgrade to Mantis BT 2.x? Looks kinda cleaner.

Oh.
Well I assume this will change as time goes on (and if it ever gets removed completely).

Similarly there's a vulkan2molten. This is a non-issue imo.

Re: If Microsoft buys github

Those are some really sad news.
I'll seriously look into migrating some of my personal projects to Gitlab or Bitbucket. Too bad there's no trully open source solution that I'm aware of.

Re: Weird bounce

I think the solution is to limit the maximum speed achievable when being pushed, to something like max_unit_speed * [1, 1.5]
Could use engine support there

For examples of what LuaMenu can do, see Chobby. To use it without a startup script, use the springsettings.cfg DefaultLuaMenu option

Re: The differences between Develop and Maintenance

I've attached the infolog, it's pretty large, but I think the first couple of lines are useful, posted below: [f=-000001] Warning: [OPENGL_DEBUG] id=131216 source=API type=OTHER severity=LOW msg="Program/shader state info: Assembly program 109 failed to compile at position 2247. The associated ...

Re: The differences between Develop and Maintenance

There is this block though:

Code: Select all

if (PREFER_STATIC_LIBS)
   #curl dependency
   FIND_PACKAGE_STATIC(OpenSSL REQUIRED)
   FIND_PACKAGE_STATIC(CURL REQUIRED)
   FIND_PACKAGE_STATIC(ZLIB REQUIRED)
else()
   find_package(CURL REQUIRED)
   find_package(ZLIB REQUIRED)
endif()

Why doesn't it work?

Re: The differences between Develop and Maintenance

probably completely unusable For most UI code, removal of display lists has been the only major API breakage to occur so far and is easy to adapt to. That said, sticking with maintenance is a wiser course of action for the time being. Did this serve as a reminder to murder gl.MultiTexCoord? ➜ chili...

If you can share it under an open source license i'd like to see it - potentially many uses out of it

I doubt that. This will break backwards compatibility. Honestly right now I'm not sure you can replicate everything - may need to wait for new functionality to get exposed.

Re: The differences between Develop and Maintenance

Develop is probably completely unusable for all projects. Too many GL functions are made obsolete, probably no UI will render.
Use maintenance.

There is no good criteria to determine this. Just check the games listed on the site and see if any implement the feature you are interested in.

Well, we enabled total karma being shown in the profile, so you can see which user are popular. Not enough to choose mods, as those likes can be received just by being a strong art/code contributor, but it might give us something to begin with.
