Re: Engine fork and Ingame Community
It's nice to see that, ten years after I stopped visiting these forums, the drama is alive and well! yep it is. Please clarify your stance up front of how you expect games using such a fork of the Spring engine should be interacting with springrts.com, and its related services. as coil is not...

Re: The Great Pro-Am Showdown coming on January 14th!
Thanks for reaching out abma. My reasoning for putting it in this forum was based on the fact that while technically you are correct, in terms of the actual interests of people, in practice, the byar community and vanilla Spring community still have more mutual area on the Venn diagram than their i...

Engine fork and Ingame Community
Byar doesn't use the spring engine any more: i'm undecided if this post is offtopic.
Can you explain why this post fits into the "Ingame Community"?

Re: Not able to login (Firewall problem?)
springlobby connects to lobby.springrts.com:8200 (tcp).
you could test, if "telnet lobby.springrts.com 8200" works.

[misc] automatic reboots of springrts.com at 10 am GMT+1 (when needed)
the server springrts.com already installs automatic updates. sometimes its required to reboot the machine, i.e. when a new kernel version is installed. I've configured it to do so at 10 am GMT+1 as sometimes some kernel updates weren't installed for months. Today it happened the first time and as yo...

https://springrts.com/dl/buildbot/default/master/
hmm, seems 0.267 isn't there: https://springlobby.springrts.com/dl/stable/
maybe the develop versions work: https://springlobby.springrts.com/dl/develop/

Re: What was the last version to support 32Bit Windows?
spring 105.0 + springlobby 0.270 afaik.
no clue if online play is possible with springlobby 0.270: afaik the auto downloads are broken in this version.

Re: Can't get Spring Lobby to see any Maps or Games in Docs
which spring version did you try to use?
as long as no engine is detected and loaded springlobby can't show any game or map.
very likely you find the error(s) in springlobby.log.

Spring 106.0 released - OpenGL 4!
I'm proud to announce the release of spring 106.0. Its for me the most difficult release, as we had different opinions in which direction the development should go. The plan failed and development basically stopped. To hopefully bring back some development and activity i released the "develop&q...

Re: Lobby Server + Spads + Spring in one lan
did you correctly setup the firewall rules?
IMHO you need at least forward TCP 8200 and UDP 8452 to the server.

Re: Lobby Server + Spads + Spring in one lan
just a guess: disable ipv6 on the host where spring dedicated is running to force it to use ipv4.Binding UDP socket to IP (v6) :: () port 8452

Re: Lobby Server + Spads + Spring in one lan
i understand this request, but i / we don't want to deal with players which complain about old spring engine versions crashing and other related problems with it which are solved in newer engine versions.
