Does the (when specified only) caching of non-moving pieces that used to work in TA still work in Spring?

The hovers almost all seem to have a nice t-shape that sets them apart from tanks. Of course, it's a little unclear in a still shot what is what.
This post amuses me. It seems you're trying to tell tro something about Talon. And I find that highly amusing.

You can do it almost that simply, but not in Upspring.

There are plugins for 3dsmax or something that make it very fast to do, I think. I've not done it myself.

The team behind talon are all very experienced people and know exactly what they're doing. They've been working on it for a long time. I doubt they'll just disappear.

I am seriously concerned about how well this mod is going to perform on computers, everything seems very high-poly. Right now the normal minifig without guns or vehicle or anything is 440 polygons. I'm still not sure about if that would be sufficient or if i should reduce it more. As caydr likes re...

I've already demonstrated 10 times over that some excessive detail here and there doesn't impact anything in Spring. What slows it down is the LoS and pathfinding. I can probably dig up the thread where I prove this undeniably with ingame screens. Even so, you did say yourself that turning on some ...

You will need to manually set the file extensions. fbi and tdf files are plain text files; the ONLY difference between them and a txt file is the filename.

1500 tris? Hmm, calling that 700-800 polys (quads, tri, f-gons)... that's quite high. But not ridiculous, really. Stupidly high, considering the scale of those units, maybe, but not ricidulous; it's easy enough to get that high and have to simplify down again. Going for a fixed tri count without bei...

Molloy: the radar targetting is a problem, yes. A major advantage of Caydr also developing an OTA-style mod is that he probably has more clout with the devs to get things done. Hopefully, anyways. Caydr: I don't recall intentionally attacking you anywhere here... I have a habit of being slightly sar...

You're accusing our beloved lawn ornament of murdering kittens? How could you? And no, s3o only supports proper UV mapping. However, that ain't a problem - there are several ways to bake any other type of texturing into a UV texture in several of the popular modelling programs, and redoing them is a...
