Bribe licho with many chocolates to do journeywar host. Then bribe players with slightly less chocolates to play lots of test games.

Re: Journeywar

How is the Sniper's harpoon operated? I tried a while ago with the newest build then available but couldn't get my head around it. basically a loading crane.. the crane arm is a a chain of elements, who read the ground beneath, and by some cases, estimate if the rope is going over the hill - or uses...

Re: Journeywar

assuming this little sideconcept throws such a huge arguMount, i assume by the lack of the same, that nobody in this 42 page thread got the concept of the shroud-shrike? I understood it as follows: 1. Shroudshrike is activated on a unit at random. 2. THe unit is now invulnerable and immobile. 3. Th...

Re: Really long start-up times.

I have subjected spring and macafee to an empirical inquiry, and found that the real-time scanning function of macafee is the culprit. disabling it brings the starting time back to regular and re-enabling it makes it very very long again.

Thank you for your help.

Re: Really long start-up times.

It means that, in the taskbar, there is no spring.
The spring window isn't visible.
I didn't see anything i didn't see before clicking rejoin.
It just takes a very, very long time for the spring window to appear.

Really long start-up times.

Hello, i have a problem with spring that is making it very hard to play: It takes spring a very very long time to start. I'm sitting here, 6 minutes after clicking the 'rejoin' button in Zklobby, and spring still hasn't started up proper. Spring is sitting quite comfortably in the task manager, eati...

Re: Journeywar

Managed to get my condepot up at the second try, however, when it finished it immediately retreated into the ground with the sound of an air raid alarm. Switching states didn't help. Was stuck at that point, with no way to build conairs. Also tried journeyman, but those are too incomplete to really ...

Re: Journeywar

Instead of building manually, why not have it stock up troops? Like a nuke launchers in most *A modules, and the tacnuke sub in ZK. It'd stock up on units, that could then be deployed next to it using like, an attack or something. Could even give it a nice little effect when they come out. (*Smoke g...

I find this argument both eloquent and compelling and i would wholeheartedly support it if i were not completely of the opposite opinion.

Cryogenically frozen, then.
Close to dead. And dead if we don't get the technology to bring it back.

Re: How do anti's really work?

You shouldn't even be playing 12v12.
And there are no maps where you need rows of 12 antinukes to cover a line of the map. Nor should you have pushed a base over the entire map to warrant this.

Re: Journeywar

In Zero-K the units get moved out of the factory, if i'm not mistaken.
Or they used to get moved at some point.
You could ask the Zero-K devteam?

Re: Unlocks and experienced players

I don't really get the unlock thing. For one, if it's only 3 hours till you get 90% then noobs won't learn squat, in fact the mere fact they've unlocked something will probably make them feel it's better so they'll use it more often than core units and you'll achieve the opposite effect (until they...

Cool thing about that estimation is that by that time your skills will have improved to make your earlier work seem bad. This will make you want to change it and you'll be stuck in an eternal loop of development.

I imagine the bladewings making TIE fighter sounds :P
Yes.
Make this happen. (Maybe in the same way Starcraft used to have easter egg selection sounds. ("This is NOT warcraft in space!"))
