Re: crash with AdvMapShading
same, i get either white map or crash.
unfortunately without adv map shading unit shadows on map don't work. it worked in 94.
a real pity because I really dig the oscillating shadows from the dynamic sun.

spring 95 has no MT anymore
Is there any other way of restoring performance than going back to 94? What are the plans for the future of BA?

Metal Plate 22X22
concept/impressiveness: 1/10
look: 5/10
gameplay: 8.5/10*
* see notes
notes:
gameplay score is derived from chicken defense with players starting in a small startbox in the center of the map.

Re: Intrusion Countermeasure System & Targeting Facility
Intrusion Countermeasure and Stealth Tank should be removed. Or at least remove cloaking ability from Stealth Tank. Or make it so that cloak can only be used when not moving. Or make Countermeasure give a signal when cloaked unit is in range, but not show its location. Gremlins are hella op, but luc...

Re: TASClient - Error Message
Bumping this, I have the same all of a sudden. It worked a few days ago. Didn't change anything with Spring.
It still does generate a script.txt which can be opened with spring.exe
edit:
it worked after i moved the spring folder from my desktop to the root of the c: drive

Re: (fairly minor) New spring version problem
it is a tasclient bug and it is fixed. log in with debug options (ignore server version incompatibility), then it will offer you to update tasclient where it is fixed.

Re: BA 7.71 Released!
you will see about 1 fire juno per sec If your team thinks that it's a good idea to spend 250 m/sec to defend against stuff that dies against your defenses anyway.. I really only see this used in critical situations (offensive as well as defensive), so it might actually add tactical depth to the ga...

Re: BA relevant info about Spring 89
Probably not BA specific but how would I know... When joining games, I have no ambient lighting and no shadows. In my own games and single player it works fine. edit: now it doesn't even work in single player anymore, really confusing, i will try complete reinstall without tasclient now.. edit2:stil...

Re: Current state of Selection Keys
I still like to use selectkeys.txt, although its no big hassle to put it into uikeys.txt in the future. Also, since contrary to what I said before one can exclude more than one name from selections it makes a lot of cool things possible with a few tricks, see my current selectkeys.txt: Control_A All...

Current state of Selection Keys
I think this is implicit knowledge around here, but someones got to say it at some point: Creating selection keys with the current springsettings.exe doesnt work properly It will add entries at the end of uikeys.txt (edit: not sure about this anymore), and also create springsettings.conf in the wind...
