Re: tier 1 unit guide
Johannes, your posts all follow the same pattern. don't get me wrong; you are probably a very competent player, if not one of the best. but you don't post here to be helpful to others. you come here to prove something about yourself. that's why i cba to respond to your post.

Re: tier 1 unit guide
either your numbers or your grammar are jumbled up, but i get your point. i cannot agree though. clicking around a bit so that a single peewee runs around a single hammer without taking all the hits is something everybody can do. taking the step forward to micro half a dozen peewees at the same time...

Re: tier 1 unit guide
well, in theory everything is wrong, becouse all these things said wont be always true. too many factors like terrain, speed bonuses, turret turning speed etc (1 jeffie eating janus <3) but like Yuri said its better than nothing :P definitely nice lecture for nubs. well ofc in theory everything i w...

Re: tier 1 unit guide
updated. also fked up the formatting, but im too lazy now.
albator, i usually play bigger games, but try to stay away from dsd. i play smaller games sometimes, but i find them a lot more demanding and i tend to be lazy =)
so, what do you think is wrong?

Re: tier 1 unit guide
Also I cannot agree with this guide because micro is a HUGE factor, as my 30 Investigators beat those 20 stumpies that one game, and the next game my investigators were not able to hit the stumpies due to the wrecks protecting them. I am also sure that 1 scout beats 1 leveler because they move fast...

tier 1 unit guide
i got a little time on hands, so i started writing a short unit tier 1 unit guide. so far i have finished a first draft of most vehicles. i'm open to suggestions/criticism... Vehicles Stumpy/Raider Your bread-and-butter unit. Good speed, excellent armor, medium firepower. Effective basically against...

Re: BA dynamics (gamelength, techlevel(s), costs)
TL;DR: Teching is powerful. Players naturally choose powerful options. Players are not to blame for choosing these options, as degrading to the game as they might be. Problem lies in the mod. Adjustment of teching strength and viability is required but unlikely. i disagree. the amuont of teching/ec...

Re: catapult
i find it's ability to shoot through plasma shields and outrange ddm to be pretty good.
but, im not much of a t3 player since my machine cant handle it.
i guess berthas and vanguards counter it pretty well.

Re: BA dynamics (gamelength, techlevel(s), costs)
BADSD is the only thing which KEEP spring alive. - You dont need 1000 hours of game to challenge true veterans when u play DSD. IMO, that is why most of the poeple here feel frustrated because they go beaten 'so easily' by "noob" (goldstar), even those 'vet' have 5 times more XP. Number o...

Re: Bladewings and raiding
now try to convince your random teammate to make some t1 fighters as a counter to bladewings
ok, now that isnt a problem of the game, but rather of the community

Re: Bladewings and raiding
true. the only raid-friendly map that actually sees a little play is comet catcher, and that is usually 2v2 or 3v3
guess i gotta try getting some bladewings on that map =)

Re: Bladewings and raiding
aaaaalso... lets not forget that dsd isnt all of ba. dsd allows for hardly any raiding at all.
there are other, more open maps though where raiding does play a role... unless somebody is clever enough to spend some hundred m on bladewings

Re: moho exploiter too weak?
haha... i've never even tried to build them without an m spot. but i agree with niobium, given the restriction on these units, they should be better then the standard units. or at least not worse. maybe make them a bit more like the core geo gun? drastic increase in combat effectiveness, but cut the...

Re: Bladewings and raiding
increasing crasher/jethro speed would be an option. increasing samson/slasher speed? haha... make samson/slasher vs ground only and introduce a dedicated aa vec? just a thought... or maybe decrease bladewing rof and increase their hp instead. the idea would be to decrease their effectiveness vs defe...
