Re: Compiling spring 0.82 rc

Thanks Hoijui that works much better. I found 'make spring' and 'make install-spring' to make the build time quicker. I'll have to try out the MT version at some point. One other point to note for anyone following this thread is that two of the Skirmish AIs (Hugh and E323) are not included in that g...

Re: Compiling spring 0.82 rc

I have the same problem on my Gentoo install (this is manual compile as there's no ebuild in the overlay yet).

There is also a warning about the 'tools' directory from cmake, but I forget the details and don't have them to hand at the moment.

Re: Skirmish AI: E323AI 3.19.1

I've been trying 3.19.1 (with spring 0.81.2.1) on BA 7.12 and am having some mixed results. On Parched Mesa a lot of units seem to get stuck around the base with loads of adv. solar. All of a sudden I get tremendous lag (about 15minutes in). Turns out after the game I've got a 300MB log file full of...

Re: A new artificial intelligent opponent - E323AI

Hi Error323 I tried your latest master last night, with the CPU improvements (which were very good). I have one problem, however, the AI only seems to build fleas. I've found the log an it's correctly parsed the cfg file... the log is filled with lines like this: [01:37] (EE): CUnitTable::canBuild f...

Re: New C++ AI Interface

Plan is to tinker creating my own AI in part as an interesting project to learn C++. Whether it will come to anything is another matter. I will try to remember to join the #ai channel when I get a moment to work on it!

Re: New C++ AI Interface

Thanks Hoijui - all working now. I even managed to get it to build a solar collector!

Re: New C++ AI Interface

Thanks hoijui. Still appears something is amiss. I only have 2 warnings now, but it fails to build (see second block). Do I have to reset any cache? All I've done is a git pull to update. I'm new to git so I may have done this wrong. -- Found AI Wrapper: CUtils (sources only wrapper) warning: Legacy...

Re: New C++ AI Interface

Not sure that I'm doing this correctly or if there is a bug in the build system. I've checked-out the 'cppintnew' branch from git but building (running 'cmake .') gives warnings saying that none of the AI wrappers, interfaces or actual bots will be built: -- Found AI Wrapper: CUtils (sources only wr...

Kloot do you have the source code for the backport? It doesn't seem to want to place nice with my Gentoo compiled version.

EDIT: Don't worry, just needed to symlink some boost libraries.

Re: KAIK 0.13 Unofficial (Spring 0.77b5)

Kloot, I think I may have found a bug in KAIK on Linux (Gentoo). I have included the stack trace as best I can, but can't seem to get the exact line in the code using GDB. http://pastebin.com/m6f29b859 This seems to occur at random during a game and I haven't been able to find a common cause. I can ...
