Re: SpringLobby 0.201 released!

can you please update the playdeb package of springlobby so it doesn't depend on spring? Such update would be great and solve many issues... and well, SpringLobby doesn't need Spring engine installed in system since it can download proper engine when needed :) @abma : thanks for posting it - I need...

Re: libunitsync.so problems

configure it correctly and it shouldn't switch. it allows multiple versions to be used, but only one of the same version. i.e. you can't install spring 98.0 twice (which makes no sense, too) and use both in springlobby. I configure it correctly to use ~/.spring/engine/98.0, save it and it works... ...

Re: libunitsync.so problems

spring:ppa what PPA did you add ? who every made that .deb file made a broken deb file. this is no "official" .deb, some user made it. I used spring:ppa as per Download > Linux Setup Guide > Ubuntu install . Because I haven't seen any package maintainers so I decided to report problems on...

Re: libunitsync.so problems

Hello again :) /usr/lib/spring/libunitsync.so is dated 16 Oct 2014 - seems quite new. I reinstalled spring and spring-common ( sudo apt-get install spring spring-common --reinstall ) but I can't see any effect. # dpkg -l | grep spring ii spring 98.0~14.04~ppa6 amd64 a modern full-3D RTS game engine ...

libunitsync.so problems

I've noticed some problems in sync with all SPADS hosts. After some checking I noticed libunitsync.so in /usr/lib/spring (used by default by SpringLobby) is different from one in ~/.spring/engines/98.0/ (when I noticed problem I updated lobby from other source to check this out). After correcting pa...

Re: Bryce* maps: strange red ground

Well, I've fixed loading issue (I haven't checked documentation how to make maps - I simply tried to find and fix some syntax problems as I was informed by errors) and checked - everything seemed to work fine... then I decided to change the name to avoid confusion - I didn't know about links between...

Re: Icons display improvements?

Well thank you for coming up with the idea and working on it. What I was hinting at was that it would be more useful for lobby clients to handle the management of maps and mods, but it couldn't hurt to have this too. It would certainly help in some scenarios. Well, I can't wait for lobby with 'Dele...

Re: Icons display improvements?

I hate to be discouraging, but I'm curious of what use would this be? Users don't need to know map and mod files even exist. Would an experienced content creator benefit from this, if so how? If I download map/mod, use ArchiveMover and after a battle or two I think it sucks and want to delete it - ...

I think I've just found proper interface (thumbs, not additional data) and short course how to use it. I'll try coding in 2-4 weeks - too busy at the moment.

Re: Icons display improvements?

this adds unitsync dependency to the OS eg, your OS will die if you have an invlid map, or unitsync has a problem, or the OS plugin is written for an other unitsync version then you have installed, or cant find unitsync, ... in short, your OS would get as bugged as before + spring bugs. Hmm, why no...

Icons display improvements?

Hey guys/gals, for some time I have been thinking about using some of system's API options and here comes my ideas: http://springrts.com/phpbb/download/file.php?mode=view&id=3090&sid=c3ce2b1221f3722b3064530b4021a763 I hope you like it. As far as I am concerned Windows (and Linux most likely ...

Nice work guys/gals I guess (I haven't tested yet) but could you make installer version to recognise last installation path (if not default)? would be really awesome

TIA

Re: Custom Formations 2

any chance for alt + command issue (move/fight/patrol) for group of units to work as for single unit? i'd find it pretty useful for managing small groups of raiders/scouts... guard on single unit is not an option in some cases :/ [EDIT] i've made part of it but can't find a line that makes the first...
