Re: Spring- Among Us
I think I've heard of mafia RTS game modes, where people are doing something like playing a FFA and there is some sort of traitor system. For an RTS in Spring you would need to put the players on different allyTeams, have them be ceasefired, and make scouting expensive somehow. Then have the player...

If you're using KDE/KWin, alt is the default modifier hotkey for grabbing windows to move or resize. You can replace it with meta in systemsettings to get your alt key back.
For other DE/WM you'll need to read the manual.

I have yet to see something that suggests this is anything more than just a benchmark/tech-demo.

Re: Completely new all-game usable build menu (Chili)
How do you handle having multiple types of units/factories selected? IMO spring style. The way that sc2 does it is freaking irritating. If sc2 did abilities the way spring lumps commands, microing a death ball properly would be simple as pie and it would lower the skill ceiling of the game tremendo...

Re: Completely new all-game usable build menu (Chili)
Here is a copy-pasta of a design/brainstorm document I made like 5 years ago: = Click & Hotkey Friendly Menu Mockup = == Basic Command Menu == The command menu is set up so that buttons correspond exactly to keys on the keyboard. Naturally there will be icons also but that isn't the point of th...

Re: Completely new all-game usable build menu (Chili)
There is no one-size fits all solution. No perfect solution, but allowing some limitations, you could probably get reasonably close. CarRepairer's chili keyboard menu is already close*. It has zk's gesture-style hotkeys baked in, but other that that, it's basically just an automatically-generated g...

Do you lump all the command options together spring-style, or tab through commands for your different types of units starcraft-style?

Re: WC in SC2
Slightly misusing it here, but they also say that imitation is the best form of flattery. There is an important distinction between "imitation" and "copy-pasta content". (I do think *A mods and other spring games still have lots of gameplay issues and that's part of the reason w...

Re: About New Computer
But , any open-source community has much more in common with just the zk community than it does with the entire mixed population of computer users. (And this was really about the spring community anyway, not that that even matters) I don't know why you are determined to destroy your credibility wit...

Re: About New Computer
It's a loaded question, now will you admit to your error and drop this already? There is no error, the percentage of linux users in open source communities is much higher than the global average. This is just common sense, but also supported by polls: https://springrts.com/phpbb/download/file.php?i...

A "yes" or "no" would be sufficient. False Dichotomy Omg lol, read your own link. The fallacy of false dichotomy is committed when the arguer claims that his conclusion is one of only two options, when in fact there are other possibilities. The arguer then goes on to show that t...
