Gawd, fix it? But there are so many other maps you could discover, so many other places you could explore while you crush the enemy.

Re: blender user needs halp ;_;
Your off-topic insult to a program that you do not prefer offends me, sir. While many people find Blender's learning curve and key-based interface off-putting, it is incredibly powerful.Tribulex wrote:let's misquote someone!

Re: Can't compile on a Mac
You've failed to include the actual error message in your paste! Try again -- it might be helpful. ;) What you have pasted indicates a call to the streflop::ldexp(...) function using some type (argument? return?) for which a variant (of the function) doesn't exist. Can't tell you any more, though.

Re: public key is not available
You can still see and install Spring-related packages in your package manager after that, right? That ought to be the case. It's basically a matter of being able to verify that those packages were created by the person you think/are told created them -- namely, the one who owns the public key that y...

Re: Need a *A Spring video showing great micro/macro
What is "*A Spring"? There's "*A", which would probably be games based on Total Annihilation, and then there's "Spring", the engine that many of those games happen to run on. Have you ever heard of Doom 3 Tech 4? Quake Wars Tech 4? Left4Dead Source? Crysis cryEngine 2? ...

Re: Obama passing new law to allow searching of PC's, Laptops, a
It's not really about whether they can (or can't) do something because the law says so. It's about having that law available to point out, after they do it.
Pass enough laws, and, well...

Re: Spring Lobby Customization
Unfortunately, the toolkit that SpringLobby is built on -- specifically, the part that allows the customization -- provides support for saving layouts, but not layouts of the tabbed notebook controls that SL uses. The SL devs (or you or me) could certainly emulate the functionality using workarounds...

Re: not even single player with unbuntu (8.10) install ?
Try selection the "Options" tab, and under that, the "Spring" tab. Click on the "Auto Configure" button, and don't forget to hit "Apply". If that doesn't work, there are often SpringLobby developers available at the #springlobby channel of irc.freenode.net who...

Is that up-to-date? How long will it continue to be, if it is? When it is no longer up-to-date, will a new revision be checked in?

Lobby Protocol/Uberserver: Status?
The official TASProtocol documentation has been gone from the main Spring source tree since 0.77b4, and what was there before that wasn't up-to-date. As a lobby developer and lobby 'bot hobbyist, I have a definite interest in this, and anyone who wants to try his/her hand at protocol implementation ...

Re: Request package for Debian Lenny AMD64
 Yeh got me. Unstable is always named Sid -- I knew that! Shame, shame, shame. I think my ego is too large to hide... In any case, my /etc/issue says that I'm using release 5.0, which would be Lenny. I used the "Unstable" instructions, though, and they worked for me. (It may be perti...

Re: Request package for Debian Lenny AMD64
Have you actually tried following the instructions on the Linux install guide ? I assure you that those instructions worked quite well for me, who happens to be running Debian Lenny AMD64. "Lenny" is the name of the current Debian Unstable release. Follow the instructions; you'll then be a...

Well, if you're dead-set on compiling, it's your choice. But the (COMPILED) Ubuntu packages really do work, FWIW.

Re: Request package for Debian Lenny AMD64
I'm use Debian Lenny on AMD64, and the appropriate Ubuntu packages work just fine. Doesn't the Spring install guide tell you to follow the Ubuntu directions? In general, Ubuntu packages will work just fine -- try installing them and see. If a package installs, it's likely that it will work as expect...

Re: no mod works
The Spring engine does not rely on any specific game content, because it is an engine and only interprets the supplied content. Any *A mod, however, is probably going to require that content from TA. You can find it at the various Spring-related file download sites (it's in a file called "base-...
