NOTA wiki page missing
NOTA's Spring RTS game page is gone... The NOTA link on the games Pages simply leads to a down load page. We use to have a page here. I had put a fair amount of work into it. I wish it to be replaced or returned. The wiki page appears do be lost or removed? Normally it is backed up even if it is not...

Re: abandoned old Nota forum website
Overkill set that up. I was/am an Admin. Thor is an Admin. cake is an Admin. Overkill was an avid player in 2007-2008. Personally, having 2 forums and a second user registration was a bit of a complication. This forum on Springrts worked and was used as NOTA's release forum. There was a little redun...

Re: Integrating Multi-touch Input into Spring
Really awesome. With this new form of user input the interface and way the game is played will diffidently look and work completely different totally different. I see this being most useful in large scale attacks. With the amount of input we can have since we are not limited to just one cursor. we c...

Gamer's Choice award contest.
Spring Fails in some areas but is unmatched in others.
So I thought Spring should be given a chance to compete.

Re: NOTA 1.66
Thumbs Up!
Re: NOTA 1.66
Nightcold mentioned that good players do not use strat bombers in early game. Ever since they were changed they became less reliable which means use in low numbers early game is more of a gamble and is still not effective enough to warrant their use. The air balances actually caused me to stop playi...

Goddie,
If your running the CA mex finder widget that is your answer. It is a HOG.
Tho I doubt that is what is up.

Re: NOTA 1.66
nightcold, NOTA is not BA. If there becomes a lot of anti mass units in NOTA then the late game will make a large part of the units unless... which would take away fromo the mod more then it would be any good. Core handles late game defense pretty well. Cans, Sumos, Levelers, t1 arty, Golies, Crabs,...
Re: NOTA 1.634
No mod has been maintained this long by the same devs. About Torpedo planes... I remember when they were hardly ever used because they disintegrated like toilet paper. No ship fleet feared them. Only unsupported subs or lone ships feared torpedo planes. Capital ships are rarely built because they ar...
Re: NOTA 1.63
The Arm light destroyer aa does not seem right.
More range? More aa?
I doubt they would do moderate dmg to ground attack aircraft and certainly not torp bombers before being sunk.
New ship changes are neat and seem to improve sea game play.

Re: NOTA 1.63
@ Goddie, super weapons were balanced 20 versions back appearing plenty. And were hard enough to stop.

Re: The Curious Case of DSDHosts.
8v8 games are too large for new players to learn how to play If you want player base skill in spring to increase they need to have an opportunity to learn. A fucking massive game just fails to teach game-anything but how to fight with idiots. An ideal max player number needs to be found. Games need ...
Re: NOTA 1.63
Sub hunting is not quite as fun as you once described it Thor. There was a time when a daring sub captain might try to throw a few torpedo at a destroyer and see if he could get away. Not having that "dare" will reduce those fun sub hunts.
Was the destroyer sonar range increased?

Perhaps you like lasers on your pod Goddie, but I always love flying plasma more than lasers.
Re: NOTA 1.63
We do not know if the multilayer missions work with the new engine and v1.632 do we?
And bugs?
