Re: Spring 95.0 released!
I also had this experience, although this only happened when starting from the lobby, not when starting spring manually from the command line. So it might be a lobby issue.zbr wrote:Spring 95 ignores my windowed setting, always launches in fullscreen.
otherwise working fine
(Note: lobby = springlobby)

Re: Warp Gates: Do we want them?
and it'd be cool if we could tell the pathfinder to use them, some kind of lua call
eg.
PathAdd(point1,point2,cost=somelownumber)

Re: NOTA 1.634
wronge, it is very simple actually...i have done it many times after you lose sea- step one: secure you cost with costals asap step two: anti sub hovers, clear out his subs and cons... you got a shot at sea now - you can now start building ships...sometimes the enemy stops investing metal in sea af...
Re: NOTA 1.634
you can defend against torpedo bombers with fighters. also, AA ships are not bad. -- The main thing that annoys me about NOTA sea battles is the way it is so easy to lock another player out of the sea forever. If you rush a sub and get it to the enemy shipyard and destroy it before they can get anyt...

Yes, I've used quite a few modelling tools and I must say even old blender is one of the best when it comes to UV mapping if you can drag yourself past the learning curve of the interface. Try some youtube tutorials.

Re: Release: Picture-in-Picture
can i have lots of them???
it can be like transport tycoon!
also, mousewheel zoom would be nice.
i really like it though, ideally it'd just be a perfect viewport into the same scene as the rest of the game though, not sure how feasible that is.

Re: Map Creation using blender.
I've made a map using blender, it works quite nicely. Sculpt mode is great, you can lock X,Y coords to stop it deforming and changes will only apply to Z. You can use mirroring to get symmetrical terrain. You need to do some messing around with textures to output it correctly though. You need a grey...

what version of nota are you running?
what version of spring?
what version of springlobby are you using?
have you tried turning it on and off again?
have you tried without AI, have you tried a different map? etc. etc.
