moar feeds!
Eh, this is for the site, not the game. We need RSS Feeds! We don't need them badly, but they do simplify things by alot. Their also easy to implement, just find one of the many mods for phpbb, and do the copy-paste job. Though, should some kind soul decide to do this, please, there are many mods, c...

Re: Have LuaUI to remember loaded widgets on mod per mod basis
+1
i like the idea of having different presets, it would make my life so much easier, to simply turn of my widgets that don't work with some mods.

Re: Waterlevel map
do this all with lua? my knowledge of lua, and map making is currently very limited, so, i would say it'd be impossible for me to know how to do anything like this! But, if i were research, i'd guess, i'd start with, how to make a map, with only water, no land, and half the maps water is higher then...

War Of The Mods
I have this Wonderful idea! A Modding contest should be held! This contest should work to something like this. Every group partaking in the contest, needs to make a name. They should then, create a mod, with one side, named after that groups name. In that mod, every unit made, must follow a set of r...

Re: Minimap Crashes Display Driver
you should burn your intell integrated card, and get a real card, such as nvidia!
the other option, is to turn you integrated card into a small bomb, and throw it out, so that anyone thinking of using it next, will have to think again.

What a hell of an understatement that is, considering my current level of lua knowledge.KDR_11k wrote:Sounds easy but is fucking hard. Good luck.

Waterlevel map
Ok, at first of all, this is a cool idea, and is possible. so, weather this can be done, doesn't depend of being possible, but how hard would it be to implant it, and weather you have to rewrite anything major. second, in real life, you can infact have major changes in the water level, in just a hun...

Re: The impossible
ok, so i can use the lua movectrl commands, and such, to move units across a bridge, but how about a whole platform? in the sky? and being able to build on it?
heh, think of a map, with two frontiers, one the ground, and one maby on a cloud? just a example, but that might be a cool map!

The impossible
Is it possible to make selectable features on a map have surfaces with heightmaps, for use with deformable features? And, is it possible to allow units to walk and/or build on a feature? I know you can make units walk on features, and i'm sure you can do it with lua, but I am not really good with lu...

Why have lightning spawn in front of cameras? That doesn't do anything but cause epilepsy. It would be better, if lightning actually interacted with units, ie, fried them. I love the smell of fried peewees in the morning.

Re: Spring + decoupled renderer
could allow good multi threading I like that alot! Also, having that fancy pipeing thing that required opengl2.x to work, that i also decided to skip over, also seems good, and having more then one renderer so you can support older computers as well also seems good. also, not limiting ourselves to ...

Fixes for Assholes
in spring, there has been lately a bunch of assholes, people who just don't know when to stop. i'm purposing the following changes be made, to lessen the effect they have. firstly, joinspaming. i've just been pissed of by one, who really went and overdid this. whenever a user is auto kicked, because...

ok, i'm not sure weather or not this is changed or not, but does spring work well on a multi-cpu/core systems now? i remember a while back, i once brought up taskmanager in windows, and it showed that spring was using all the power from one cpu, and not the other. but i'd like to know if this is cha...
