Well you already have the better layout... :-)
Looking forward to see a more stable and bugfree version. It sure has the potential to oppose SpringLobby...

Re: ParalyzeHeal

Sounds like a good idea. I'd also like to finally untie the paralyze status from a unit's left health. It currently works by comparing the paralyzing damage with the unit's health left. There should be an option switching this to just do a comparison of the max health. It's very odd that you can kee...

Re: Blender S3O Import/Export + BOS Export Plugin v0.6

Out of curiosity: Does the plugin still work fine for the test builds of Blender 2.5? I waited getting into Blender until the UI update was done and now things are starting to iron out...

Re: What AI is the best?

What game is the big question! For the standard TA games I prefer RAI. I never found AAI performing pretty well and it consumes tons of CPU power very quick so you can't really enjoy playing with multiple ones. KAIK does a pretty good job but for me it just kept spamming T1 and techs up way too late...

Video recording function broken

Does the video recording function (Strg+Shift+F10) still work for everyone? When I press the combo the codec dialogue doesn't show up. In fact the entire engine "window" doesn't go away and so all I can get is the taskbar on the bottom but I can't get any screen visible as Spring keeps its...

Re: NOTA 1.58

@Strategia: You get about 6 Jethros per AA-Truck. It shouldn't be that difficult to keep them not standing next to each other so there won't be any THAT HUGE disadvantage. Plus you're talking about how their HP only helps in ground-to-ground combat vs. enemies with lasers & stuff. When comparing...

Re: Springlobby is awesome

It seems the current version doesn't save the chatlog anymore (just does save the times anyone said something) and I also can't run replays (don't know if it just is unable to initialize them the right way or if there's something wrong about the team infos because something seems to be wrong about t...

Re: NOTA 1.58

Extra range should also mean better overlap of fields of fire, for a better combination of coverage and focus. Leading to even more missile waste by firing on a "dead" target - it always has two sides... Imo range isn't the main advantage of such a mobile ground AA. I see it's main...

Re: NOTA 1.58

Range is about 40% higher than that of a Jethro. With the high reload time it's rather unlikely though to get a second shot on a hit & run plane as they should be out of range again after 4 seconds...

Re: Fusebox

Well very good CPU-Coolers for example are the Noctua UH-12P or the Scythe Mugen 2 (where the Noctua is more expensive but has a minimal better cooling power plus the possibly greatest fan on the market in terms of noise at low rpms plus you also get a very good thermal paste)... For your graphics c...

Re: Fusebox

How much would that cost? Wont I have to drill through my case? I wouldn't go for that unless your PC is really High-End as you don't need a watercooling to get a Silent-PC. The question is though what components you actually have. If you're like using a boxed cooler on your CPU and the standard gr...

Re: NOTA 1.58

In defense of the bulldog it's not very different from the reaper. More HP (2500 instead of app 2000), but it's slower, costs a tiny bit more, and has slightly less power and range on the gun. My point wasn't really about Bulldog vs another unit but the Bulldog being available from a T1 lab... Thos...

Re: NOTA 1.58

Just a few comments: Most important: Fix the custom formation widget (i.e. include a fixed one). When having reached a certain amount of units you want to give orders to it won't do anything but give you an error and every following is going to be a new "edge" of that dran dotted line. Aft...

Well I'll kinda keep the habit of not saying who I voted for (i.e. will as I'll be leaving to vote soon). What I can say though is that I'm not going to give my vote to one of the big parties like CDU or SPD (especially not the latter - not that I ever voted for them or "hate" them but aft...

Re: The economics of Spring mod users

Yeah - somewhere in the Wiki's "fine print" you'll find a remark about you needing a copy of TA. This doesn't change anything about spreading the entire content needed to play though. That's why TA3D has a better initial position as here you need the OTA CDs to get things to run. Not that ...

Re: Anti Missile Systems

Yeah I'd also like general weapon tags for this. Imo this should include two weapon tags (one for the intercepting weapon and one for the one that should be intercepted) which work just like that "binar system" for the shields so you can have weapons just intercepting certain weapons (whic...
