Path of Exile

Hi,

anyone heard of Path of Exile? It is a Diablo kinda clone but more darkish.
http://www.pathofexile.com/

Edit:
It will be free to play. Has no singleplayer. Online multiplayer only.

If someone has or get's a beta key would be nice if you can send me one per PM.

Is the enginesofwar channel in the lobby deprecated or why I am the only one there with the ChanServ bot?

"* lobby-protocol needs improvement"
You sure it needs improvement, not a review as in maybe use a more common used communication protocol? (Hint: XMPP)

Got a bot running which listens to following command:
"map mapname"
Prints out all mirrors which could be found.

Re: XML-RPC searchapi on springfiles.com

Hey, nice work.

I don't like xmlrpc, but it is fine.
I implemented it in my Go package: https://github.com/Agon/go-slc/blob/mas ... archapi.go

Yeah agon, the google search stuff is pretty disturbing but is there a way to combat it?
As I wrote, rename Spring, only mention Games in a list on a wiki, advertise with tech demo(s). (...Remove the loader...)

Re: The taint of *A

Rename/fork and don't use TA related content in any tech demo on the "new" website. Also remove the loader. Which game engine has it's own loader to load a game? Oh and do a google search with this: engine+total+annihilation http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=n...

Re: AlphaLobby RC1

... Agree 100% that the protocol needs a revision. Plain text doesn't even simplify coding anyway, but makes everything hugely inefficient. Some commands aren't necessary or could be compressed into one command. For example the "SAY[PRIVATE|BATTLE][ME] TEXT" could be reduced into one call...

Re: AlphaLobby RC1

Just use 10000 for the cpu field for client to server and ignore it for S2C. Springie uses 10000 for the cpu field by default, too.

The complete protocol needs a revision anyway.

I removed some cmake custom flags from the build script.
I hope this helps with desync and such things.

Re: Spring client lobby protocol

If you send a command like: "SAYPRIVATE username message" you need to put an newline at the end: "SAYPRIVATE username message\n" This was one of the first problems I had. And of course hoijui is right, it would serve the community more if you would develop on the engine. Btw. an ...

Re: Future Planetwars Windows only

I've found it while searching some good rts for linux , otherwise i'd never find spring True that. I imagine without Springs Linux compatibility, Spring would no longer be developed or even exist. @Licho: http://planet-wars.eu/planetwarsservice.svc that doesn't help at all. To be honest, I don't ca...

its quite easy.. if it has debug symbols stripped, it would be around 10-15MB, while with them, it would be > 60MB. What about your performance, Agon? I am running Spring on an Amd Phenom 9950 QuadCore Processor and I am using the none mt binary. I can play the most games at more than 25 fps the wh...
