Path of Exile
Hi,
anyone heard of Path of Exile? It is a Diablo kinda clone but more darkish.
http://www.pathofexile.com/
Edit:
It will be free to play. Has no singleplayer. Online multiplayer only.
If someone has or get's a beta key would be nice if you can send me one per PM.

"* lobby-protocol needs improvement"
You sure it needs improvement, not a review as in maybe use a more common used communication protocol? (Hint: XMPP)

Hey, nice work.
I don't like xmlrpc, but it is fine.
I implemented it in my Go package: https://github.com/Agon/go-slc/blob/mas ... archapi.go

Rename/fork and don't use TA related content in any tech demo on the "new" website. Also remove the loader. Which game engine has it's own loader to load a game? Oh and do a google search with this: engine+total+annihilation http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=n...

... Agree 100% that the protocol needs a revision. Plain text doesn't even simplify coding anyway, but makes everything hugely inefficient. Some commands aren't necessary or could be compressed into one command. For example the "SAY[PRIVATE|BATTLE][ME] TEXT" could be reduced into one call...

Re: AlphaLobby RC1
Just use 10000 for the cpu field for client to server and ignore it for S2C. Springie uses 10000 for the cpu field by default, too.
The complete protocol needs a revision anyway.

I removed some cmake custom flags from the build script.
I hope this helps with desync and such things.
New build-version is: 0.82.7.1-2.1

If you send a command like: "SAYPRIVATE username message" you need to put an newline at the end: "SAYPRIVATE username message\n" This was one of the first problems I had. And of course hoijui is right, it would serve the community more if you would develop on the engine. Btw. an ...

I've found it while searching some good rts for linux , otherwise i'd never find spring True that. I imagine without Springs Linux compatibility, Spring would no longer be developed or even exist. @Licho: http://planet-wars.eu/planetwarsservice.svc that doesn't help at all. To be honest, I don't ca...
