TASCLient Access violation in python25.dll
The client process starts, but the client window never appears, and I get this error: Access violation at address 1E0CD175 in module 'python25.dll'. Read of address 00000004. Reinstalling fixes the client, but as soon as the client auto updates, the error recurs. I'm using SpringLobby for now, but I...
Synch
Would it be a good idea for clients to test synch before allowing a player into a battleroom?

Re: Release Early, Release Often.
All hail the troll king. Releasing a little more often shouldn't be controversial. It's easier on the coders and easier on the code to do things incrementally. If you do things incrementally you need to test more often, but the results of the test are less likely to be catastrophic. The likely resul...

Re: Integrated voice system based on teamspeak2 ready for use
Maybe a dumb question, but has Mumble already been considered?
http://mumble.sourceforge.net/
It's open-source. I expect it could be bundled with the Spring installer without any legal issues.

Re: new site
Looks nice. I'd like a link to the wiki on the main links bar.

Re: Status Update
AFAIK, version .66 was the last version made for Spring. Is version .95 an OTA version?EnlightenedOne wrote: We have a simple load screen at current and are using XTA version 0.95, if we dont like the end result or we feel like it we will go back in time to v0.66 as those versions are indeed very cool.

XTA used to be the primary high end competitive mod. BA currently is. XTA was played at a far higher level than it currently is now. I doubt anyone still has matched SJ in his primetime at XTA. SJ vs Min3mat games were as entertaining to watch as any of the highest end BA games today. You don't act...

Re: Okay, CPU's are pissing me off
Is the above system going to be good enough for someone who seriousely only uses the computer for email and word processing going to be good enough? I recommend a PIII 800mhz running Xubuntu, with Abiword and Thunderbird. Total cost: probably about $75 at a second hand store, leaving $625 for a ver...

Joining after startup
How difficult would it be to allow players to join a game in progress? I've been playing a lot of netPanzer recently, which is based on players entering and leaving at any time, any is remarkably fun despite having an engine that is quite primitive compared to Spring.

I want a game based on this: Judges, chapter 3 12And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD: and the LORD strengthened Eglon the king of Moab against Israel, because they had done evil in the sight of the LORD. 13And he gathered unto him the children of Ammon and Amalek, and ...

The concept is cool, but if I remember well I played the game and didnt liked it. If I remember well it was because it has only tanks/vehicles and most of then had the same use, and I found that boring. I totally agree. I also ended up missing all the things I am used to in Spring, especially zoomi...
