Just do not join into speedmetal -games.
I do not like speedmetal because the games played on it ends lame way, it gives a wrong image about TAspring and units built by infinite resources lags my PC which has only 256MB RAM.

(i think CS had something similar with as deathcam...) Yep, but it doesn't prevent people from cheating if they want, they just annoyes honest people. In the end the result is inverse, there won't be playing any other but cheaters who exploits those anti-cheat toys you put up there. If you want no ...

and then there needs to be anti-shield-cannons that fire through them damn shields and then anti-shield-cannon-shields to prevent those and... AA/XTA is already as complex as it is. If there's a counter and re-counter for everything, it just makes games last even longer than they already do...

I hope that you improve the whole communications system if you are going to do that change. You did it already with lobby chatting system. You know you've improved it when you have better control over system in simpler package. I've no proposation how could you possibly improve it thought. Ask yours...

request&ideas: UI redesign and assigning AI logic.
First I must say, GREAT JOB! With that lobby system, it improved more than I could've thought during the year I were away. To aid you further, I could tell you my own experience (what I've collected during crawling through internet) about good graphical user interface and easy programming. The issue...

HTML page inside a game! What a mess it would be? KISS!!!
Yeah, put a complete HTML parser inside your program and be prepared for even longer loading times... :) I don't like the idea, especially it would propably giving me more those damn ugly & stupid game server advertises, like ones in CS and Battlefield 2. I think there should be two versions. On...

Whats the difference? I gues they means stencil shadows with projected. The difference is that stencil shadows are sharp and shadowmaps are pixelated. Stencil shadows are made by extruding silhuette away from the point and stenciling contacting surfaces away. Shadowmaps are done by rendering from l...

Alantai, LUA would be good, but I still think python would be better. Simply because the language syntax is faster to write and simpler than with LUA. LUA is simple as well, but it has twice more control marks than python, which equals in more typing failures. But I gues this should be done in earli...

Re: Is a command line feasible?
About the telnet i don't know but the in-game chat, where you can give comands like «.cheat», «.spectator», «.team 2», isn't what you are asking for? Thats not a commandline thought, thats MS-DOS  Fisher prize toy command line! He means something like this! id 'brawler' > br...

Re: .
Why? Read about unix and bourney -shell, then you may understand why unix is very popular OS family today. It is 35 years old! It should be hard to make so good operating system toolset which lasts as working even so long time. Think how many different versions windows has put out last ten years. T...

I would like to build my own prototypes from somekind of 'legos' and use them to defeat. The idea would be that you would never know what kind of enemy you encounter and which kind of units do you encounter. There would be five kind of toolboxes which you can use. Then you could also stole tech from...
