Re: ZK lobby server split is a disaster?

What if zero-K really attracts thousands of players (and keeps them)? It seems likely that if players enjoys spring-game-A they might be tempted to try spring-game-B. You should be happy... ZK using their own stuff is a sign of maturity. Of course ZK wants to keep players, and then it is a really b...

Re: spring-multithreaded

96-20140501 MT uses very different tech and is therefore incompatible.

It requires both host and game to be MT-capable.

3-9x faster than Spring, depending on game and CPU.

Re: Happy women's day

Ehm, for those that are really pro-equality should not condone anything like this unless there's also a "men's day". Feminism is useless unless there's also masculinism (yeah, my spell checker didn't even recognize that word wtf).

Forgo is not the right word. Of course it is up to you how you want to shuffle your EVO code around, but it is very doable.

I expected a MT version of Zero-K to be tons of work, but it turned out I was wrong:

Spring 94.1 OMP vs gpl violation 94-20131015 MT-ASIM MT-APATH GML

First half of the vid is Spring. Game speed and FPS in top right corner.

Re: AMD "Mantle"

I didn't say it was bad. C# code looks better than C++. But it is bloated and there are many versions and security patches that add up. Each installation takes a long time because it precompiles stuff. AMD deciding to use .NET for its driver package is the biggest mistake ever. Something that should...

Re: AMD "Mantle"

I always liked low level shit, so for the time being I'm giving AMD thumbs up. The .NET framework currently fills up one quarter of my SSD, this is a prime example of what happens when these higher level APIs become increasingly bloated.

Problem is resolved it seems, but you are welcome to host anything on this lobby server if there is more downtime.

Re: DIY 150-900W fully modular LED lighting driver

I bought this unit, and although it is indeed marked 300W, it also says 12V 20A which is nowhere near 300W. So, don't buy it unless you are okay with ~20A. The power consumption rating is also listed as 270W. So definitely a bit of false marketing there but looks like fairly high quality build.

Other solution: use gpl violation Lobby, because it does not auto-update.

Re: DIY 150-900W fully modular LED lighting driver

Thanks, but I strongly suspect there is a fan inside that housing. The unit has vents, and that usually indicates forced cooling. However, I found a 25A unit that may be acceptable: http://www.ebay.de/itm/1pcs-300W-12V-LED-Regulated-Power-Supply-Driver-Outside-SMPS-Waterproof-IP67-/111072402428?pt=L...

Not the slightest bit, not only did he provide the first Linux benchmark, it was also the fastest result yet.

Those are nice action scenes, and you did a good job with handling that camera. You could maybe smoothen camera motion further with some widget.

Not sure I qualify as a current dev, but I alternate between VS10 and 8. Version 8 has more bugs for sure. On *nix I use vim editor, which is a step down I must say.

Re: DIY 150-900W fully modular LED lighting driver

Thanks, but that unit has a cooling fan. I know it does not start until it gets hot, but I'm living in a fairly warm climate so the fan would run more or less continuously. This is for legit use only, if I needed 'chilis' they would grow very nicely outdoors if you water them regularly.

I like your 'chili' growing project. I'm also on the hunt for a 300W fanless 12V PSU for LED strips, maybe you have something to recommend.
