Personaly speaking, I think that an equaly big problem is that of unit textures.

small 32x32, 256 colour pictures just don't cut it any more, and it shows.

Also, with shadows, the Cavedog 3D texture shadow system is no longer required.

We need new textures. before new models. Baddly.
