Re: How do I save a game ?
Currently not possible, sorry! That's the useful answer... the slightly less useful answer is that it is technically possible for games to implement Lua based Save/Load mechanisms so it's possible that some versions of some games running on some versions of the SpringRTS engine might have Save/Load...

Re: How to make units cooperate to prevent overkill? Zero-K
What if it was one table for all currently known enemies and their "health balance" (and then yeah, a second table of "Controlled Units" assigned to) Let's say Enemy units E1 and E2 have 1000 HP and Controlled Ally units A1, A2 and A3 has an attack that reliably does at least 500...

Re: so that happens with new players in BA
I think in some games they mute players who can't behave courteousness... imagine how awful it would be if we could temporarily suspend chat and vote-kick privileges for players who didn't know how to behave?Anarchid wrote:That's called a banhostility lvl settings like we allready have for rank.

Re: Quick & Dirty MOBA Game Mode
I don't know if there will be much room for any healing ability. repair drones I was thinking that could be a cool angle... have a owned but not directly controlled unit like the Courier in other MOBA that could be called to your Hero Mech to repair and change coolant or whatever... this unit would...

Re: Alternatives to SDL
I thought he meant "Other software that uses SDL 2" Quick internet search shows that Battle for Westnoth are also working towards SDL 2 in their development branch so maybe that would be a good test case: http://forums.wesnoth.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=40694 (as an Open Source SDL 2 migr...

I don't want to defend the actions taken in what I'm seeing here entirely, they weren't very polite or helpful... but I imagine this gerrr1 fellow who got kicked would likely have fared better if he'd responded in any way at all to the people trying to give him advice.

Re: Alternatives to SDL
benefit of having more scripts in SDL 2.0 is not that big That's because you speak English... if you don't include support for non-English characters you are telling %75 of the world they aren't welcome... not to mention inconveniencing all of those people who speak English as a second language. (N...

Does it have to do with the size of the pathing grid?
Looks stupid but makes sense with a grid.

Re: Seriously... About the Forum Avatars
But as you can see here, if you make the img 142px wide, as you suggested, it results in a td that is 146px wide... wider than it began! You use the container because the image should not have set dimensions and should instead be sized using max-width and percentages in css. In this way, the image ...

Edit: For the sake of arguing for no reason, you are wrong good sir! :-) http://i.imgur.com/mgHzC0y.png You are hovering the td, not the img tag I see the same (except off by one pixel for some reason because AF's Avatar is only 79px tall) when I hover that node: http://springrts.com/phpbb/download...

Re: Seriously... About the Forum Avatars
Technically the actual number would be 142x142, It looks like it's 142 but it's actually 138 because the img is in a td which is in a tr which is in a table with 2px of "border-spacing". The other thing you said is just "the css you would use to accomplish this feat" which is to...

I know people bring this up on a semi-regular basis but the 80x80/10KB avatars look smaller than ever with the updates to the forum and site. With the new layout you could bump it up to 138 Width without any effect on the layout. You can even keep 80 Height if you really don't want posts getting tal...

I know this will be relevant to people's interests... it's an interesting approach, particularly the non-uniform tiling and plate-tectonics simulation bits.
