Just checking in.
Been busy with life, have a 2 year old, working on medically retiring from the US Army. It's been over 12 years since I first started working on TA:WD but due to ever changing compatibility issues from one version of spring to the other i've been rather staying away from major development in WD as a...

Re: Spring WD, the return.
I DO need a team...
Maestro went AWOL.
And I have UV-mapped before, since my laptop crashed in 2008 i've had to redownload alot of tools.
Does Spring allow for multi air transports without too much fiddling?

Re: Spring WD, the return.
LOL I thought about it... LUA is intimidating to me. But my wish list is as follows; -Realistic explosions and animations -Conventional take off and landing of aircraft having to return to an airfield to rearm when ammunition is deplated like C&C. -weapon sub-munitions, I.E. cluster bombs. The n...

Re: Coding a factory
My scriptor deleted all by settings including the constants.
It will no longer compile cobs.
What are the default constants? the ones yuritch mentioned?

Re: Spring WD, the return.
Beherith sent me a PM about some software that converts 3DO's into S3O's complete with textures!
That would be outstanding.
Don't give up WD fans, I have not.

Re: Spring WD, the return.
I am half tempted to just stick with .3DO and quad faces and make/remake the units the old fashion style.
The original OTA version is still great, I have neglected it since 2005 perhaps if anyone is interested I can work on that too.

Re: Spring WD, the return.
I figured it out already but thanks guys.
Most of the missile-based weapons are broken so my time is cut out for me to fix that.
N3mesis is willing to make models for me so hopefully we can make something that rivals Spring 1944.

Commander fails to spawn on Spring:WD
I know it has to do with some LUA settings but i've been gone for a while. I have a modinfo.lua and a sidedate.lua, is there anything else I need for the commander to spawn? I really want to work on Spring:WD but I NEED to know how to get it to work and looking at mods that work doesn't really tell ...

Re: Spring WD, the return.
lol I noticed, I figured the modinfo.lau out but how do I get units to show without using cheats? Atleast I can still test it. As for the ideas on the sides as shared in a PM with n3mesis. as it stands right now I want the sides to be like this; -US -England -Germany VS -Russia -China -Venezuela/Cub...

Re: Spring WD, the return.
RL really got in the way again but I hope and pray I will have the time to do stuff now. I've been having some fun with playing an old version of WD on Spring but ever since I got Spring 0.8 I have problems getting it to show up as a mod.... :? But I'm ready to work on it, contact me on ground_zero_...

Re: Spring WD, the return.
YES I want to know what is new! lol I took a break for a few reasons, one of them was to wait for a solution to the aircraft problem. How possible is the following; -Aircraft taking off CTOL (Conventional Take-Off and Landing) opposed to VTOL and landing on runways, not the ground. -Weapon load-outs...

Re: Fly/Land at Airports
I have been waiting for this for years. I would love a C&C style land/reload/repair facility so aircraft are not as over powered. My script-fu is definitly weak, LAU? don't even know what the acronym means...lol Anyone ever made it work? what about realistic take off and landing? I.E. convention...

Re: Spring WD, the return.
The biggest setback to WD was my hard drive crashing last time I was in Korea, now I am swamped with my military life, in Korea I will have more time to dedicate to it. I just need to motivate my self to download all the apps I need... Flozi, would you be interested in working together on this? perh...
