upgrading from windows 7 rc

I currently have the windows 7 RC and I need to get the final release (I haven't booted into windows for a while so I haven't needed to resolve this). I don't have another version of windows to downgrade to. Will the upgrade edition, specifically the student upgrade edition for windows 7, work with ...

Re: New Steam UI

If this happens I might just delete my windows partition once and for all, or at least shrink it for a larger /home. http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=steam_linux_script&num=1 edit: I hope what I am seeing here is a checksum for a linux client. http://store.steampowered.com/...

Re: BBC iPlayer and US Copywrite Law

That is an interesting question. Just speculation, but I don't think there is copyright violation or any other violation. Copyright regulates the copies and distribution of copyrightable works. As the bbc is the owner of their copyrightable works they can freely distribute. You are accepting the wor...

So it basically amounts to a Government owned "Affordable Insurance" provider? Great job Obama, way to make people even MORE afraid of Universal Socialized Free Health-Care... As far as I know, not even that. Government mandated, non-discriminatory "Affordable Insurance" then? B...

And they still have the same fundamental system of insurance middle men, private hospitals, and private doctors - there is hardly anything socialist about it. Just more consumer protections, tax credits, and some expansion of existing welfare systems (which are still mostly private).

Re: Health Care

What I don't understand is how come it works in most other western countries but would not work in the US. How is this health care program different? Majority of the World: The government collects taxes from income, businesses, trade, etc... - then government provides health service that may or may...

Re: wtf is wrong with the American right?

Forb you have done one hell of a job of alienating everyone here. I didn't even endorse Obama's plan, the NHS, or any other model of health care for the US. I was never talking about policy, I was talking about politics. All you did was typify the sort of behaviour and language I was decrying in the...

wtf is wrong with the American right?

As a dual citizen of the US I do keep a check on the political scene there, but lately I have become increasingly distressed over the quality of discourse coming from the American right. There is no doubt the quality of argument coming from the right (and of the general discourse to a certain extent...
