Re: Homeworld: Desert of Kharak
I only watched a lolinterview and video of the opening cinematic and first mission, and already I can sense this game does a far better job at conveying the whole "massive scale" thing than Chris Taylor and Brad Wardell and co. and their dedicated "omgmassive!" pet projects ever ...

Re: Ashes of the singularity
Lol, arbitrary? That is how long they have had their official website up and readily available for anyone to see, complete with splash backdrop and menus laid out specifically to promote what they have to show. This entire time they have been airing their "unfinished" laundry for every lol...

Re: Ashes of the singularity
You are literally jumping to conclusions based on little information we have regrading game play. Most video that I have seen are meant to be benchmark demos, And you don't see this as a problem? Six months on, they should have put out something more substantive by now if they really have it. Impre...

Re: Planetary Annihilation (Incoming Moon Drops!)
The "Annihilaser" already existed in the base launch game, I don't know what you mean by that. You can tell with these exotic planet shapes that they are just neat hacks: no cool gravity well affects, units just move over them like they do over a regular sphere, adhering to the same "...

Re: Planetary Annihilation (Incoming Moon Drops!)
I see nothing out of all this that isn't standard company procedure. They are a games developer , and have all these resources left over from Planetary Annihilation's development that need to be reallocated. It's not like Westwood didn't churn out a game every year. That said, I will pass from backi...

Re: Planetary Annihilation (Incoming Moon Drops!)
Well it's here.

So yeah, I was one of those suckers who sent $90 towards this project, expecting an improved Total Annihilation. Soon enough I can write a proper verdict (if I feel like it).

Requesting a Username Change
Hey there, there isn't a subforum for forum issues, so off topic seems the best place to ask this, I want to know if requesting a username change is possible around here, since I stopped using this one some time after I made this account. And I couldn't find anything related to this posted. I'll onl...

Re: Spring crashes when I do certain things ingame
It's me again. I know this thread was made a few months ago, but I never actually got a solution to the problem I've been having with the game freezing when I use any Ctrl+Shift+Alt combination for placing buildings(which now I realise it's also when queueing factory build orders as well, and possib...

Re: Spring crashes when I do certain things ingame
Well I've just tried disabling luaui in settings, if that was what I was supposed to do, and it didn't work. The last person in that thread, Aurek, describes the same problem that I'm having. Whats disturbing to me though is that no further solutions were posted in that thread.

Re: Spring crashes when I do certain things ingame
For the Ctrl + Shift command it freezes, so yes I had to exit with the task manager.
So is the crashing problem with the AI just to do with AAI then and not with me?

Spring crashes when I do certain things ingame
What happened was this; Several months ago I've taken a huge break from Spring, and since then I've gotten a newer computer. Recently I wanted to try playing Spring again, and now on this new computer I find that when I do certain things ingame, it either crashes or freezes. I don't know how many th...
