What we really need is a http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_of_trust style player fame system, so if I trust what MyFriend says about 3rdPlayer, my lobby client would show it (and automagically ban the player from games I hosted). Then I can host a game that'll only let ppl in that are deemed "OK...

If you have ISO-8859-1 in database and you read it and display the data in UTF-8, obviously characters wont be displayed correctly. Now, how do you fix this? Convert the database data to UTF8. If you got mixed content in the database, it might be a bit more tricky to convert but guess there's tools ...

I play in windowed mode with grabmouse bound to alt+q and it works like a charm. I also set SDL_MOUSE_RELATIVE=0 so my mouse speed doesn't change win grabbed/full screen modes.

All I miss now is the thumb buttons.

you've set a tiny page file, whereas it should be 3x your ram minimum, and at least 4096 for a hefty gaming PC minimum regardless of ram size. Adding more swap space doesn't make swapping more efficient as far as I know. So depending what you run on your computer, you barely need a gig of swap. (I ...

Nice one. The first impression I got was "wow, looks neat". Obviously there's not much features yet but the basic feeling about the client is very positive.

Looking forward to see more. :) Thanks guys.

Wow, what a fella. Maybe (s)he's trying to avoid all the request flood by staying anonymous. So (s)he can work on whatever feels good to work on.

Anyway just amazing if credit is left unclaimed. Big thanks whoever ya are. :)

Mouse sensitivity / speed

Hi, just installed Ubuntu Feisty Fawn and tried how the Linux side of the world works. Everything's running smooth so far except the mouse speed is very slow. Even I change settings in Gnome, nothing happens in the fullscreen dual monitor (twinview) spring. I installed Beryl too, should it matter. I...

Of course I could try to modify the patch so that if player count is 2, the quit menu would only contain options that cause self-d.

In team games I would prefer the leaving ally to just use Quit and then the remaining players could do ".take".

Now how many of the games are 1v1 where Resign & Quit would be the best option? 10%? Why should the quit menu favor games that are played rarely?

Minor modification of the quit menu

Tired of all the people (mistakenly) self-d'ing all their units when quitting? Maybe having the option to self-d last on the menu could help. What do you think?
