The title pretty much gives it away: I probably created the ugliest Spring map ever to be seen by man! I actually don't think it's very strange, since it's my first map, I just copied the original map texture and heightmap and I probably picked out one of the most complex maps, Militairy base, but ...

its not that bad. It seems i always see that map up like out 1/10 rooms. Heck the screen shots make it more foggier imho. When i tested this out yea you can notice the fog but it is playable it didn't hinder my vision.

I think if we want to keep to original ta style we'd have to make preset patches. Even though it's theoretically possible to have a map with a metal patch that gives anything from 0.1 to 2.3, still most maps use something in between. Like comet catcher 2.0 1.1(or even 1.0) and 0.5. Gow 2.0 and 1.1....

It would also be nice to have a metal map with blue dots(like the green for geos) add the metal patch texture automatically on that spot. well uf we could have more colors than just a blue dot maybe it could be other metal deposits since if it works like that there could only be one metal patch typ...

well mb turned out decent tho i didn't progress more with it since i felt it to be tedious work maybe one day i have too much time i need to go indepht with the heightmap but even then if you look at it in the tnt in 3d like 3dfly *ithink its name* ... those are the results but i mine turned out bet...
