Re: Arne's Core Air Force - Some Models
Treeform, your models are excellent. I would really like to see them incorporated into the attempt to add new models to BA. - thanks Despite others calls to re-texture, I think they look quite impressive as-is. If you want to revise your work that should be up to you. - i dont want to do any thing w...

treeform's arm tanks wip
One of the big problems redoing old TA units is that many of them will be done by different people and not match in style. This is my pathetic attempt at getting entire arm tanks done. http://breeze.aff2aw.com/affdata/ta/treeformarmtanks1.jpg http://breeze.aff2aw.com/affdata/ta/treeformarmtanks2.jpg...

Re: TA reference
I made the zip to help any one doing remodeling of old units. As far as i know no one used it.
I also released code to make them:
viewtopic.php?p=313658#p313658
You can use this on any folder with bunch of 3do's.

any one remember ui mockup from couple of years ago?
Hey i am trying to find a mockup for spring ui from couple of years ago. I have tried searching the forums with no luck. I don't think any spring ui has matched it yet. The mockup is from the time frame when AA was king, there was no widgets and most importantly minimap icons. The mockup featured th...

Re: Thinking about Lego system
Well the idea is not customizing units in real time ... i like my rts games fast! The idea is to provide a better toolset for creating mods by providing easy to use part system for units. If any one can throw unit together more people will do that. More units could be built for experimentation purpo...

Re: Thinking about Lego system
Meh. You're the guy who said you had a 3DO converter that properly maintained the uvmaps, and then you dropped off the face of the Earth when I asked you to provide it, so I guess I'm done here until you actually show me something that works. You right i dropped the ball on that one, here are the c...

Re: OTA texture system to 1 tex UV map converter
To bad i never got around to implementing neither a better uv unwrapper or the egg2s3o converter. But any ways here are the codes for any one who wants them: http://aff2aw.com/affdata/springwip/taimporter.zip Directionss: My 3DO converter relies on Panda3D library. I know its not the most ideal of d...

Re: Thinking about Lego system
Multitexturing is not a big problem. I think its best is to collapse the uv maps into one uv map in the editor. Most of this stuff will be done during the edit phase (joints and block snapping + motion and constraints computing) and produce standard spring S3O files.

Thinking about Lego system
I am thinking about a lego system. Sort of between spore creature editor and spring kbots. Here is an example: A unit like this would be made of several smaller parts. http://aff2aw.com/affdata/springwip/1crawler.jpg Each part would have some meta data associated with it how it should be used like i...
