Having a windows coder for omni would be nice. The most unfortunate part about my code is that I am sure that it is somewhat weak and could have been constructed in a more Object Oriented way. I have never taken any formal classes in programming so I go off of my experiences of what others have done...
Sounds like this is getting off to a good start. Hopefully we can fix all of these errors and get it all synced up in no time. Looks like it might take a bit longer than I originally thought but hey its the right direction. Hopefully I can get the linux lobby done so that people can start play...

Yes, that was the server for the old lobby client built by jouninkomiko. I hope that betalord moves those sources soon, since they are kind of handy to have for testing. It also confuses Linux goers if it isn't all in the repository. The up-to-date server can be found at the old sourceforge.net repo...

These ideas of fusing remind me of....perimeter, and that game sucked. The problem with perimeter is that the advantage of combining units was almost none. The economy of it didn't add up very well. You would build all of these units and combine them, but they wouldn't be too useful at all. Towers w...

I think getting it so that Windows and Linux players can play together is more of a priority. ;) It all depends on how you look at it. A new, stable, and useful GUI is a long ways off. From what Jounin has said, the way spring handles input makes it very difficult to code a good GUI. There are more ...

Ok then ya: http://svn.berlios.de/wsvn/taspring-linux/trunk/rts/ However...no documentation isn't really a problem atm. The netcode will probably change, and therefore it wouldn't be too efficient to write tons of documenation for obselete netcode. ;) When the netcode is finalized in a later version...

by dedicated server, i was thinking for the actual battle, like you would use for counter strike, or bf2. The docs you linked to appear to be just for the lobby client/server netcode. Starting with a simple proxy model you could start to add features like prediciton, and stats. It seems like there ...

Ya, I saw that on the mailing list.Alantai Firestar wrote:I got an email sayign that NTAI 0.20b2 had been ported and was working under the linux build, but they didnt know that I had released at least 20 new builds after that release.
It seems like it won't be a big deal to fix the latest version anyways.
