Re: Do bitches know about mah Tanks? I bet no.

Does Spring support the little guys having sayings yet? Because having a tank squeak a chipmunk-like "Bitches don' know bout mah flaaaaaaaaag" when a tank picks up the flag, would be awesome, in a stupid kind of way.

Re: Spacebugs tweakable?

Awesome, thanks, although I won't be messing about with LUA at the moment - no time. I was replaying a skirmish map in Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour (nice name, rolls right off the tongue) and thinking the replayability was thanks to the random opposition. Specifically, the ZH expansion add...

Spacebugs tweakable?

I have been playing the hell out of Spacebugs as co-op with mates. Is there any way to hack the difficulty? We play on a variety of maps, but on core-prime style all-metal maps it would be nice to have higher bug castes spawn earlier. Also, there used to be an option to spawn extra tankers with the ...

Re: Happy ecological deficit day!

These tools are garbage based on extremely sloppy logic and dubious mathematics. Globally, we now require the equivalent of 1.4 planets to support our lifestyles. Total. Manifest. Bullshit. Oh, unless you count CO2, maybe, since we can't actually count CO2 at this point: exhaust and re-absorption gl...

From the comments on the Telegraph link: apparently everyone who criticises Dan Brown has been sicced onto him by the Jesuits because Dan Brown Knows Too Much.

Secretive forum-lurker smokingwreckage stood stunned at the wit of the satire.

(Is there a Dan Brown novel that doesn't start with something like that?)

Re: Political Test

Yes, because nobody who completed a tertiary qualification in political theory could ever be biased. And I couldn't possibly be basing any of my criticism on critiques of the test by OTHER political theorists, could I? Sorry, Gota, I've known too many professors. Besides, your argument is purely an ...

If you're running CA, I STRONGLY recommend you turn OFF every widget you can. Many of them are quite resource-hungry. Also, CA does tend to want more resources than, say, NOTA.

Re: Political Test

Another really interesting thing is that there are a bundle of questions that do track pretty much to traditional "left-right" division but don't track well to this chart.

Re: Political Test

The test is biased. I know this because it puts me left, when I am not even slightly left.

This often happens because people born and raised on the left don't actually know much about the "right", equating it solely to "social reactionary".

Re: NEW CHICKENS!

Yeah, I kinda like the specialist waves, it means you're always scrambling for the next big counter, but if you time it just right you can clean up ungodly amounts of chickens. Lots of fun, IMO. Also, the specialist waves can create really harsh "crunch" if you don't deal with them quickly...

Re: Resource bars

I think the size of the bar shows well enough for noobs. There's no point making a useless display to "not scare off noobs". All the additional info is presented in such a way as to not overpower the display, but you can look at it, wonder what the fans are, and find out. Importantly, it's...

Re: How to get more players now?

The GUI is a bit painful, but CA chickens is a blast (the grav turrets are fantastic fun when you get hit by Dodos!) NUBtron is a massive PITA and personally I found the little menu things and chat and etc etc etc to be a massive PITA as well. LolUI is my favourite UI by far, and it would be ace if ...
