Re: SpringInfo "Player Portal"
Excellent work forboding, quite impressive effort there. One suggestion I have is a quickstart guide that is very concise but still intuitive enough for new players. Put it on a seperate page rather than being part of the "Getting Started" page. Simple fact is that the vast majority of cas...

Re: Another new computer thread, final check-up with the experts
Got my memory (2GB Crucial Ballistix) running at 1134MHz (default DDR2 1066 iirc) at 4-4-4-12 timings easily. As long as you're willing to overvolt the memory very slightly. I had to do that anyway to get my Q6600 stable @ 3.4GHz (lower or higher FSB:DRAM wouldnt let me do it so I had to clock up me...

Re: CORE Pillager +1
In reality the optimal firing arc for furthest distance is 45 degrees, and I'd guess anything over 60 would be almost pointless for ballistic projectiles. It would be cool if units in spring could modify their firing velocity based on targets they aim and/or based on firing arc, then you could easil...

Re: Sovereignty of Units, or when Dgunning allies is acceptable.
Mate what? That was a long time ago but I remember it being pretty close in terms of team games vs LCC when I was playing. Maybe things changed once I quit and tN took on a life of its own with random players , but I can find many replays of games where LCC lost to tN in team games. Specifically I r...

Re: To All Those Who Said Spring Is Dieing/Losing Players
This discussion ended weeks ago in another thread. Last I checked nothing was agreed upon and the consensus of the developers was "Doesn't matter what you think, if we, the developers want to make it this way, we can implement it." So why not just go and make it this way. You are right aft...

Re: CORE Diplomat +1
Electronic parts exposed on the exterior would likely just look plain stupid. I mean, they would at least need to be covered up to protect from the elements (rain, dust etc?). Only place that it would look fitting would be in the inner workings of the vehicle, i.e. areas that are rarely exposed on t...

Looks sort of like an X-Wing fighter from Star Wars. Also looks like a glider, considering it looks so light weight and flimsy.

Re: The performance of the Spring engine
What ever you say, there is no way you could in any way feel or hear FPS rating higher then what your display is capable of updating. So a typical TFT screen only updates 60 times a second, so 60fps is exactly as smooth as 125FPS. (Well, probably 60fps vsynced is smoother than 100fps not vsynced). ...

Re: CORE Copperhead +1
I think it would be suiting of the core style and pretty cool to have the upper body of the flakker and its weapons look like the artillery cannons from BSG at 1:36-1:40 in this clip:

Looks mean, heavily mechanical, bulky, powerful etc.
