I will tell you right now that under the RGB color system, there are only 256 shades of grey available represented by the numbers 0-255.

So it's effectively 8-bit.

The problem with annihilators is that if one of them dies, they make a reasonably large explosion, often setting off a chain reaction. :(

Ok guy, prepare to learn. :) My TA partner of old was a chronic brawler masser. The only strategy he ever used was to mass hundreds of brawlers, then send them at you to take out your anti-nuke, then nuke you to death. First off, arm anti-air is better than their Core counterparts, for the most part...

It's also worth noting that in OTA, buildings counted towards the unit limit.

I wouldn't buy a computer that didn't have 1 GB of ram any more. Not if I intended to use it directly.

If you can still move the camera around fine, it has nothing to do with poly count. It does have to do with the netcode and pathfinding's ability to handle large numbers of units. For example, when playing Warcraft III, if there are over around 500 units in play at once, if you have all of them move...

I'm an "old timer" by Spring standards. How many remember the original tech demo release where you could control a couple of units in a pseudo first-person mode using a wonky control sheme? It was something like W and S were the vertical axis movement keys, and H and J turned you left and ...

No, we need a 3D menu reminiscent of Command and Conquer Generals! With explosions and battles happening in the background! Or we could make it a low priority and work on a working game first. Personally I like it how it is. My only issue is that the in-game text is too big, but I w...

I didn't know about the Krogoth until last night. If someone wants to release a fix, i'll put it in.

I think you'll find the problem is the same in both OTA and XTA though.

The targeting facility makes your units target radar blips, which units in Spring do anyways, so it's useless at the moment.

I noticed this when I tried to D-Gun a Krogoth with my cloaked Commander. In OTA, d-gun would kill a Krogoth, and the explosion from the Krogoth would kill the Commander, and then those two explosions combined would kill any surrounding Krogoths. But yeah, I D-Gunned it eight times or so with no eff...
