Yes, but all their code must be patched, which is no surprise since they code directly in Parrot, and they use a lot of Maps and Flags, and every variable is named "X". What, you think they'd use a native language? Of course not, they code in a virtual machine, but they use a lot of hooks ...

I didn't say replace the T2 in _all_ applications, just in some. For example, if you were at L2 and you had a team of, say, zippers, rushing your base, what would you rather have: equal cost in LLTs, or Vipers? Obviously the 8 LLTs instead of one viper. Those LLTs would be a bad investment for every...

The dedicated server should be the only server. When you host normally, what should happen is that both a dedicated server and your local client spring program get launched. Then, when your local client program crashes to a LuaUI bug or whatever, the server keeps on going, and even keeps on going w...

While his solutions are kinda stupid, isn't it true that T2 fighters are a total replacement for T1 fighters? That is, if you can build both, you should ALWAYS build the T2 and NEVER build the T1? I thought BA tried to avoid that kind of thing? Shouldn't the T1 fighter be given some sort of applicat...

I still don't own a waffle maker. We had like 7 on our wedding registry and no-one chose to buy them for us. Pancakes are a poor substitute though passable. Proper thin pancakes (aka crepes) with diabeties inducing levels of sugar topped off with scurvy curing quantities of lemon juice will take cr...

Mandatory for all citizens to undergo patterning, 6000 years. No humans. No, the problem with the cockpit is that you dont need that tiny bevel there, you can do it via texture. Nobody i going to notice such a tiny bevel. 500 isnt bad for the Slasher though. You get them spammed, but not like the g...

You should try out your ideas. First thing you'll find: units-building-units instead of factories is flipping annoying for anything mobile. Play Nooberhack, or Nanoblobs (without autofacs) and you'll be horrified at how much you miss. You can't rally, queuing is inconvenient, units get in each other...

I get the impression that the problem isn't culling, but that, if you have 2 particles that are coincident in space, only one is rendered, am I right Argh? As for z-order, I think the point is that Argh and KDR want "clustered" particles. That is, "all of these particles have the same...

Heheh, I got "Schizotypal" and "Histrionic", which is probably how the test rationalized the conflicting concepts that

a) I'm an attention whore, and

b) I'm really, really weird.

Given that the definitions of the social behavior of those two things are utterly contradictory.

BTW, I think the OTA manual actually says those lasers are really plasma weapons but they get called lasers out of habit. If I'm right it said lasers are lasers, those spheric shots is plasma locked in a magnetic field and the Annihilator is a tachyon beam... The "tachyon" thing is slight...

You know, whenever I see the acronym "DNF" decontextualized, I have to pause. Are we talking "DNF" as in racing? Or "DNF" as in gaming?

And then I realize - they're the same thing.

Good god. It's sad that there are some people for whom Ikaruga is too easy.

Although for my money, the "toughest boss" I ever faced was that thing from the end of Diddy Kong Racing.

MIPmapping improves the look, the texure wouldn't be large enough to be drawn at full res anyway and at least MIP averages over all texels instead of just the ones that happen to match a pixel. If your texture turns into a mess at large distances it's because you have only high frequency details, i...

Shouldn't the inefficiency of nanospray be considered an engine bug, and thus any fixes at mod-level are hacky workarounds?

Somebody make a patch.

Well, since air-starts are nigh-useless because of the weak conplane and the L0 MT, the real question is: is that a problem? Now, there's two sides - on the one hand, air-starts are expensive for a good reason - air units are really useful, particularly to rush. We all know the "start air, use ...

I don't think Sleska is trolling. He's just utterly impatient with the constant flood of suggestions that are inappropriate for BA, and so reacts with flames instead of arguments. That's not trolling, that's just being an ill-tempered curmudgeon.
