The ability to space units (ie mines) equally comes from TA Hook, a Yankspankers add-on to OTA. Select the building you want to build, like mines or missletowers or whatever. Spring needs dynamic lighting most badly of all. That allows all sorts of neat effects: illuminating units with explosions, shadows striking outwards from the epicenter of the explosion, day/night cycles, blue/red glows from the lightning cannons and flamethrowers.
