Re: Bitcoin mining made easy
The next significant decline in btc-usd exchange rate caused by an event of similar magnitude as mtgox, should trigger a fall toward the bottom (0$).

Looks like a lot of people just lost their money. Glad I wasn't one of them.

Looks very pretty in the shots, will grab later :-) I just played RoboDef on it. Look really nice and was very nice to play on. I can imagine huge FFA or team matches. Thanks a lot! Would be very nice if you could tone down the specular a bit. Since map is perfectly flat and high-specular, grass lo...

Re: Bitcoin mining made easy
Varikon I read about btc builder before and had the same idea as you. It's almost the same as trading spreads on stock exhanges. Except the spread is huge here But I disagree there is risk. What about identity theft as I mentioned earlier. If btcbuilder also requires an ID photo then the risk alread...

Re: Bitcoin mining made easy
You would not invest in Greece or Detroit ... Right? I would avoid them Why not? If I was a country say Germany, I would loan Greece my money so I could charge them exorbitant interest. Detroit is a different story, what a dump. I would not... Things to consider: - chances that mtgox will...

This is excellent, I asked for this a few years ago when I was working on a new map. Now I could theoretically finally finish it, if I felt like it.

Re: Bitcoin mining made easy
Down to $130 on mtgox now. Today they announced that withdrawals will be enabled soon with certain limitations (this was the rumor during the week).
I for one think 1/5th the price might be enough to motivate the risk vs reward of buying through mtgox rather than a different exchange.
Thoughts?

This looks like a great map. With maps like this BAR might trigger a surge in new players and returns of old players :)

Re: Bitcoin mining made easy
So mtgox and others exchanges "keep" your bitcoins locked away from your private wallet?
What is the point of having a private wallet with your address and block history saying you own x BTC if they are going to keep your balance stored in a database somewhere?

Re: Bitcoin mining made easy
How does mtgox work? Do they transfer bitcoins into your private wallet when you buy from them, or do they hold the coins in their own virtual wallet? If it goes into your private wallet, what is keeping someone from buying on mtgox @ 325 USD and selling @675 USD on one of the other exchanges? That'...

Re: Bitcoin mining made easy
Hope you sold at my last post - now down below $500 with no end in sight as more bitcoin exhanges turn belly up. Some rallies are being heard to buy.now.while it's cheap. But can that stop the shitstorm that will erupt when people realize buying in is easy, but buying out is impossible. The biggest ...
