Re: Springlobby: where have my files gone?
Thank you very much. As it turned out, the files appeared as .sdp files in the "packages" folder with long, random names, which also appear to me much smaller than they should be. Not sure if it's a bug or not, but it would be nice if Springlobby could convert those files back to the more ...

Springlobby: where have my files gone?
After the recent update (v0.139), all my newly downloaded files have gone missing. Both Springlobby and Spring can access them just fine, but I can't find them in any of the Spring folders (spring/games, spring/mods and My documents/My games/Spring). I've searched the entirety of my hard drives with...

Re: Bi-Gender
A petty insult, and you're telling me you've dated and kissed in a serious way most of the people opposite your gender you know? Or are you talking about the breeding comment? I didn't mean flippant thought but actual "I want to raise a child with this person", which is not going to come ...

Re: Bi-Gender
smoth: I said much. What fraction of the people you interact with do you go out with and kiss or more, let alone consider breeding with? Can't be that high. You may not have reached the age when we start to have feelings besides friendship towards the opposite gender, so I won't blame you. Inevitab...

Re: Bi-Gender
The male population, I think, would fluctuate, as would the female population. Cause, well, there are a lot of girls out there who want to switch back and forth too. Two things: 1. When males become females, it is inevitable that the female population would fluctuate at exactly the same rate (equal...

Re: replays: UI + player view
These are all caused by Spring treating the location of the demo file as the source folder. It tries to look for the LuaUI settings, save screenshots and create files that would only have been created at first run, all under the demo folder.

Re: replays: UI + player view
Also, after watching a replay by double-clicking the demo file directly, Spring creates a bunch of files folders under Spring/demo/, which contains ui settings, infolog, etc as if they were in the root folder.

I don't know whether it is intentional or not, but there's a T2 Kbot and a T3 Kbot in Core, both named Mammoth.
Also, I see some Z-fighting on some models.

Re: P.U.R.E. RC5.1
I tried it in sandbox mode (infinite game) and I liked it very much. It ran smoothly and I didn't encounter any of the problems mentioned in this thread. However, the maps in the package gave me 0.1fps. Yes, that's 10 seconds per frame. Could it be my ATI card, the error in LuaGaia or simply my belo...

Re: Evolution RTS
I have the same problem as R-Team. However, removing the IceUI folder didn't solve the problem for me. Do I have to remove the SAIceUI folder as well? Right now the only way I can make it work is to disable LuaUI altogether. EDIT: I've deleted the IceUI entry in LuaUI/Config/widget_order.lua, and it...

Wow, it's so much different from what I've seen a year ago. Good job!
I'm downloading it now, but will try it tomorrow. Does it work well with AIs (esp. RAI)?

I loled so hard when you D-gunned his silo. Probably the most decisive 0.5 seconds in Spring history.hunterw wrote:http://replays.adune.nl/?759

Re: Getting pissed.
How many defenders it takes to kill a dragonfly? Mid-or-long range SAM are not effective against them because they have radar jammer, yet flaks and pack0s can't do enough damage to kill them. Not to mention that by the time Regret has Dragonflies most players still can't afford an eradicator/chainsa...

Re: Range Widget, Alpha 2
Not including a widget in a mod, in and of itself, doesn't necessarily mean the mod developer didn't want it in the game That's a piece of circular logic. What are you guys, mind readers? Then are you a mind-reader? Are you saying that you know the devs don't include those widgets because they don'...

Re: (0.78.1.1) Replays not working...
It worked for me. Also, it's possible to associate replay files with spring.exe now. Before 0.76, it was associated by default, but somehow the installer of 0.76 didn't do that, nor was it possible to associate the file type manually. After doing so, you can watch the replay by simply double-clickin...
