unknown-files.net = wtf?

HAI GUISE

I'm back after a 2 year break! And holy crap has the project grown. So here I am, trying to find all my favorite old maps, and I remember Unknown-Files.Net so I look, and I get 404'd! wtf ppl?

So what's the scoop guys? Where can I get some awesome maps, mods, and LUA scriptage?

Ok, a day late, but it's finally running Spring by itself. None of the game set-up stuff is done yet, including map selection, AI, color, or alliances. All these features are planned, and will be implamented. I just wanted to post source code just in case. I know the graphics suck major arse, but no...

It's not done yet, but this is the part of the program to change to make a new menu system: def GoButtons(self): #Set below for the d...

Ok, all "Rainbow" jokes aside, Can somone at least post a good XTA logo /w transparency? I could also use a good EE logo, and maybe some custom logos for mods that don't have official ones like Nanoblobs and 1942.

Well, both actually. Each mod's version of the menu system can have completely different menues that the last or the next. I can't stress how cusomizable this will be. Of course, it might take some doing to make a .sd7-read/write system going, but for .sdz or preferable .SDD, it should be easy. Here...

New menu system incoming: Need arts!

After learning from my own mistakes, I'm going to be releasing a source-code-only, cross-platform (mainly Linux) menu system. I'm hashing my own graphics in it right now, but this was meant to be completely customizable. I suck at art, that's why I need everyone's help! Each mod will *want*, not nee...

Bad news: After a small week-long break, the source code was lost; That's why there hasn't been any updates. However, I am working on a new menu system that will include the source code from the first release. It will be entirely graphical, and still python-based for cross-platformability; It will b...

Yes, I'm using 2.5 for the distribution PYC. I'm not shipping the PY *yet* because I wanted the features more solid before everyone started modifying the source code. Once this is almost on-par with some of the Windows single-player systems, I'll start letting go of the .PY s. On the development sid...

the version 0.3 works fine for me. what is still missing is the handicap selector and the amount of rescource at start. when choosing more than 1 IA it says it can't fint KAI.so but find it with only one. I'm still looking for how to change the maximum unit limit that is'nt available in the setting...

I apologize for the FuBar`ed release. I'll be releasing the source-code version after a few days; this release was not tested on other machines. The next one WILL run.

Springer: The small, cheap little single-player system

This menu system assumes you have all your maps and mods installed or linked to in your home/ "~/.spring" directory. This has a half-functional configuration file, only the AI line works right now. After downloading and untarring, just run the bash script "InstallMe.sh" to have i...

For everyone who's complaining: Remember, this is open-source. I'm making this because no one else is. If you don't like it, fix it, stop complaining and do it yourself. On another note: Music player will take a long time, so it won't be included in the first release. I'm shifting to a new alliance ...

Thanks for the resolutions guys. Why GIF? :? Because it's easy, free, portable, common, and already animated. The animations would have been tough, and GIF is just plain easier. Sorry. I made a few modifications/enhancments to the datafile interface. The menu system is now reading from Spring's arch...
