Re: where did all the pros go?
There were a few reasons I stopped playing (specifically CA but also Spring generally): 1. By far the main one was the lack of player base. I don't have the patience to sit in the lobby for up to an hour waiting to get a game - you need that critical mass, which BA obviously has. 2. The crappy Sprin...

Re: Unit ID fix
A simple blip->isAirbourne() would suffice, as I assume that could easily be provided by the engine... I'm right in saying that this isn't a huge change to the main engine, just to the interfaces provided to user-side widgets, right (obviously it needs supporting code adding to the engine to track w...

Re: Far Texture still not working right...
I think I might also be seeing this bug: Often in CA I am seeing team colours changing from the 'correct' colour to an enemy's colour. Zooming in an out seems to affect this - zooming in on the units affect will at some zoom level fix it, but then it reoccurs when you zoom out. The whole effect seem...

Re: Spring.exe doesn't run in win7 64bit?
If you google for the error message it seems to affect loads of people with loads of different applications - one reported a fix by updating their mingw dll and another said it was fixed by doing nothing (a la Jazcash suggestion) however others report not finding a fix.

Re: Spring.exe doesn't run in win7 64bit?
I'm having the same problem - I've waited a day or two and still not working. Can anyone shed any more light on the problem here?
"The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005)." is not the most helpful error message

Graphical Profiling / Call Graph analysis
I remember a post from one of the Devs a while ago showing off some wizzy graphical tool that analysed call graph and profiling date, and produced a tree-like diagram showing the function/method hierarchy and the time spent in those functions. Can anyone remember the tool(s) used, or can anyone find...

I heard his will has a clause, stating that his body be turned into plastic building bricks, so that children can still play with him.
