The human eye can only process so much detail so quickly which is why some things are perceived to be TOO busy. The TA build pics do just that. Wrong. That stuff is irrelevant. The TA buildpics are iconic and distinguishable , the two things that are important for an icon. Look, icons don't have to...

The reason people play TA based mods is because they came here for that! They refuse to learn anything different and frankly will not try it because they play once, try to pull aa tactics and strategy, lose and blame the mod. Not true. I play plenty of non-TA-based games, yet I ran into trouble wit...

EE is not hard to learn to play. its simpler than ta. once youve played a game you know what your building and you know what every icon is. Not true. I played a fair bit of EE before I stopped playing Spring, and this isn't the case. It took me several games to sort out the factories and economy bu...

Yeah Ill go mull this over.. @argh could you be a little less condesending.. I know you hate me and all think my work is hack job bullshit.. but you know.. Chill please. He's not being condescending, he's being exhaustive, or perhaps slightly academic, to try and convince you that this is a serious...

At least everything that is linked somehow to the GPL content needs to be GPL, perhaps even the entire mod. I think LGPL would be safer for these purposes, if you want a "give and take" system. Linked is an inaccurate term. The most precise way to put it is that anything "derived fro...

BigSteve wrote:yeah arm vehicles were weaker than cores in 2.11, but their kbots more than made up for that fact.
Need I remind you of the next tournament finals, which turned into another Arm V Core match-up with KBots? The Core player won very nearly without losing a single KBot by using micro'd AKs.

Thats wrong im afraid, the difference between the flash and insti and many of the other arm and core units in 2.11 was never enough to put people off playing play as arm, theres always been slighty more arm players than core. On a vehicle map like comet youd tend go core but arm were more than adeq...

Damn, tested it as well, and it seems that its true, both bulldogs and reapers will lose out metal for metal... Looks like panthers might need a nerf, especially as they should have the same role as zeuses; defence busters (on the other hand pyros > zeuses cost for cost...) I'd disagree. There are ...

join some games, nearly every top player I see now plays as arm, leave it as is, I dont really care, I cba to argue anymore Im sick of it ^^ Yeah, want to know why? Because for 2.11, all they got to play was Core, because of the absurdly OP AKs and Gators. Now that the Flash has been buffed a littl...

The missile ship is something that really puzzles me too. I'm not sure what role exactly cavedog intended it to fill. It originally had a much shorter range too... so what would it possibly be good for? The Core one was good because it gave you a floating radar. Cavedog's artillery was always kind ...

D-Gunning an overextended comm is more a "before he enters your base" thing. IE, it rewards people who keep their eyes open. I was thinking that a wide-area anti-D-Gun shield around the Commander might be interesting, but that'd make Commander defense creeping even more annoying than it al...

Perhaps you can remove the stop sounds, I don't see how they can be usefull anyway ? They're part of Caydr's plan to take over the world through constantly repeating audio clips with embedded subliminal messages. if thats the only usefullness i guess we can remove them safely :) Obviously you haven...

Janus have always bothered me, their weapon is slow, they reload slow, and aren't really suited to dealing with fast moving units. Their Rockets also run into wreckage and hit friendly units... Sounds alot like the Banisher problem before it was changed to have a ramp effect to its rockets... The J...

I personally find peewes more useful then AKs. They can be use even in middle game in mix with other units due their high DPS. Enemy unit usually aims at most expensive unit first (correct me if I am wrong <_<) ignoring peewe which comes close and pwns. Not to mention that peewes on hill own everyt...

Krogoths are hardly overpowered. I'm willing to bet that you can still one with an equal metal cost of Instigators/Flashes/Peewees/AKs.

EDIT: i found no commando in arm's troops and penetrator is a joke, way too flimsy... lucky the guy with the krogoth was on my side If the Krogoth gets within range to shoot at the Penetrator, you've done something wrong. Throw a bunch of light units at it and let it chew on them, then zap it with ...

Because there's 40 megs of maps with it. If it were just the 30 megs of mods, that'd be fine.
