you use windows, right? try using mplayer (best) or vlc (good).

vlc even plays DVDs, so you don't have to use crappy powerdvd or whatever.

I used to be able to host.

I have a router with the firewall off. I have forwarded the ports that need to be forwarded, and I use hole punching when I try to host. this used to work but doesn't anymore.
