Re: true skill rating / game balancing broken
SLDB is offline, and thus autohosts are unable to retrieve your TS. So they just cop out and send their own random value, purely based on ingame time of the account you're using. !summon bibim

Re: A Better Air Game
I just had this random idea of a "cruise"/"engage" toggle where cruising raises the altitude and speed of the aircraft, lowering the accuracy of the missiles/bullets? One of the characteristics of air is that most can't shoot backwards. Or can, but is kind of weird when it does (...

Celebrating Post Counts
Because I noticed this perfect 111222: https://springrts.com/phpbb/download/file.php?id=10478 Because there are runner ups, this was an honourable mention for being one of a cool number, at 46465 (sooo close to 46464): https://springrts.com/phpbb/download/file.php?id=10479 Oh and. I probably just wa...

Repeated Autohost logout/login
Not sure if this is the right place. Please move to the correct subforum? This is kind of concerning: All [ACE]Hosts as well as [semprini]Autohost, [durian]Autohost, and EvoRTSDedicated2 are logging out/into the server at regular intervals. See an excerpt of the fiasco: [19:34:38] ** EvoRTSDedicated...

Re: This behavior is unacceptable
I am familiar with the auto-host rules. They're just for the most part ignored and I don't have the power to change that. I would certainly love for that to change, though? I'm kind of waiting for Floris or someone to say, yes they're the rules, abide by them. And by that logic we shouldn't put anyo...

Re: This behavior is unacceptable
If you go around spouting the N word, then you don't need an explanation as to why you have been banned. Uh. But it's Respectful and Professional. And encourages them to change for next time. And gives them one less fault to find with your actions. However, as a lobby mod, it is part of your respon...

Re: This behavior is unacceptable
I guess if you knew I was also a moderator in more than half of the BA hosts you'd ask me to do what I can to police them when there's no one else about to do it, right?

you fight well in most desesperate situations without succomb I used to. :) And thank you. And my username? Hehe, I can't just give away moderator rights to autohosts like that. XD And I mean, I know I'll be back. I always come back. I just hope I'm that player that you remember when I eventually d...

An apology
Hi everyone, Over the past few months, at the very least, I've been doing a lot of things that I know are wrong – ragequitting, just straight up quitting for no apparent reason, throwing games, and possibly trolling in some other ways too… Firstly I should apologise to lucido, for the last game I pl...

Re: A central "Help wanted" page for all projects
Any such thing will require back and forth discussions, wiki is extremely poor format for that. Thread need only be locked to show that the request is complete. Wiki could link to a forum post, in theory? It'll still be useful for having all the information in one place, but then it can hand off th...

Re: MacOS Buildbot failure
Thanks for the CrashHandler.cpp fixes, but there are some more issues. Firstly, https://github.com/spring/spring/blob/develop/rts/System/Platform/Mac/CrashHandler.cpp#L22 is missing a brace. Secondly: /Users/derekbel/Spring/Sources/spring/rts/System/Platform/Mac/CrashHandler.cpp:111:35: error: 'it' ...

Re: Very very easy AI?
@picasso: DAI is okay, a little glitchy in current versions since it is new. KAIK is also a good option. Neither are particularly easy, though. NullAI is the easiest, but that does absolutely nothing. .-. But actually if you want to learn, it's a good challenge to teach yourself to kill a NullAI in ...

Re: Very very easy AI?
Hi kungfuhobbit There are a couple ways about this – you could find another player to play with you (I'd be up for it, if I'm ever online, and there are a few others who like chicken defence) Or there are some in-lobby options you can use to make it easier (if you're using BA 10.11 for chicken defen...

Re: MacOS Buildbot failure
o.0 I commented out the two lines throwing errors in 3DModel.cpp and the compile made it to 95%!! So apparently doing so didn't break anything? But I still have no idea why it was complaining because glew.h is definitely included, and definitely declares glBindVertexArray … I think. (How else does i...

Re: MacOS Buildbot failure
https://github.com/spring/spring/commit/5be06b375445b2f5bbaebf6e41c55226b4921fd1 appears to have been what broke the build. Reverted the commit locally and #include <GL/glew.h> works fine. I don't understand what the attempted commits were. I'm sure I've installed all the dependencies but there doe...
