Re: Would anyone slit their wrists if sniper shots were made visible?
I think BA's time might end once current stable 9.46 or spring version stop working. So when that moment comes, let the new developers have the "Balanced Annhilation" name and move * on to the other mod, that might be BA inspirit and not in name only. Changes will come anyway but at least ...

Re: disinterest in players (split)
original thread is locked but this one fits too: "Ruin BA so that people will play Evo" One might think so, when one has had to read many of his posts about wanting to ban BA, how it is holding the engine back, and how he refuses to list BA on his "spring" google+ page. But more ...

Re: promote spring engine
for example some guy wants s44 and ends up playing a game with robots, wtf right. This arguement is as old as it is dumb. Do you think players have so bad short-term memory that they see a video of Spring1944, and when they have installed springlobby they have already forgotten the game's name? Thi...

Re: Improving the 'New Dev' Experience
That makes it ineffective to improve tutorials or documentation because it will be ignored anyway. That's complete horsecrap. The lack of proper tutorials or documentation geared towards total complete noobs is exactly why I don't have the foggiest Idea where to tell them to start. Sorry, but to me...

Re: Improving the 'New Dev' Experience
I constantly have a stream of guys from steam who very much want to help and get into it, but frankly, I don't ahve the foggiest idea to tell them where to start. Sad that so many people's first contact with spring is with someone who does not have the foggiest idea to tell them where to start. Tha...

Re: Google Code To Close
As written here ( https://github.com/spring-archive/springbrickcraft/issues/1 ) and here ( https://github.com/spring-archive/springtanks/issues/1 ) I do not want my stuff in this repo and still want it removed. Someone assigned these repos to my github account: now it looks like I had put these thin...

Re: Old bos scripts spitting out invalid piecids?
The projects utilizing spring are alive and well and many of us are doing better at this moment than we ever have. Playernumbers are decreased for every mod. Beside TA and BA most small mods basically do not get played anymore or are unmaintained. Even zK is struggling to fill one room on their ser...

Re: Flashing/Fading text colors in lua text drawing?
It is moved to the generic forum in which people ask for help because it is a trivial request for help. (The answer to which can be found on the wiki - https://springrts.com/wiki/Lua_Fonts#Inlined_ColorCodes). Frankly, nonsense. It is a question about how to do something in lua. We have a forum for...

The matter is being discussed, we favour a technical solution over a social one if possible. Post in your own posts and not in my posts. Yea technical solution is probally better when people lack the common sense not to post walls of text and megabyte-sized png images. User was warned for this post...

Re: Old bos scripts spitting out invalid piecids?
everybody has their own rl-problems, i do too and in such situations i simply stop wasting other users time on internet, if this forum really consists of users who can not script a 1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2 counter (even when given note where the problem is) and similiar stuff then i wonder why they had to ge...

Re: Weapon accuracy, tracking, wobble, etc
Hi No real solution, more random ideas. This widget does something similiar: https://github.com/ZeroK-RTS/Zero-K/blob/master/LuaUI/Widgets/gui_attack_aoe.lua To calculate the possible spread of a ballastic projectile the widget loops through different sprayAngles and then calculates the path of all ...

Re: Ironic mod hijacking
Spring mods based on Total Annhilation files, so shocking and so new. If TA-content is so bad and so illegal, then how does it work to distribute it via evolutionrts lobby on steam? http://steamcommunity.com/app/291150/discussions/0/594820656468272881/#c594820656473974343 Many positive reviews are p...

Thanks for confirming that your rage is not about "negative feedback" or "athmosphere" but because you had no convincing arguements, else you had posted them by now.

Re: Post without content
my posts tells that users who have already read the mantis comments that they do not need to read the last two pages of that thread, because there is nothing new. It furthers tells that "tdf parsing is already done via lua" (ofc a repeating of mantis comments) and asks what excactly the ad...

This thread only repeated things already written in mantis comments.
No new arguements from supporters of this idea where excactly the advantages are, and how those advantages fit together that tdf parsing is already done via lua.
