Re: 8 players to 16 players limit (and back)

How come I never saw BA 10v10 or 16v16? Do you miss playing BA 10v10+? How come I never saw complaints about there never being BA 10v10+ rooms? Here is a snapshot into warzone right now: 18:28:22 wzbot | 6 games: Wolles _Spiel (Sk-Pyramidal-T1 by Wolfgang) [4/4] (v: master 3279398), Asbo (Sk-Beggar...

Re: 8 players to 16 players limit (and back)

What good is this past work if there are no players to enjoy it? I can understand that you enjoy spectating and I can understand that a lot of people enjoy playing 8v8 games, but this is simply unsustainable and killing this community in the long run. I am not suggesting this to be implemented overn...

Re: Spring 1944 using Engine 103

And yet no PMs ever appeared in my inbox over the past year and a half about it not working under 104. It is assumed that anyone interested in s44 frequents #s44 and/or the hosts. I (and probably others as well) thought you two had lost interest. There have also been new posts on the new old ...

8 players to 16 players limit (and back)

I propose a change to make everyone happy: Forb said this in https://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=590812#p590812: "Moreover, hosting restrictions have always existed. At some point, the player limit was lifted to either 16 or 32 players from 8. At the time, this change was widely credited wit...

The real question is wth S44 is being hosted on 103 when it runs fine under 104, afaik.
Well, it does not. Morph is broken and is being slowly fixed by Joe/Code_Man. Other than that, I am not aware of any problems other than lack of players.

Re: [misc] enforcment of spring >= 104.0 for autohosts with botflag

What is the problem? You can still play quality 4v4 games on 103.0 BA $OLD on non-botflagged autohosts. Honestly, why aren't all games limited to <=4v4? Then there could be >4v4 exceptions for games that can fill a few <=4v4 games simultaneously without the million-spectator pile-up. Side note: I wa...

Re: Diary of an insane man

I would feel terribly frustrated working on SL's UI. If it was something other than WX, maybe? But I'm thinking about the internals. The C++ part. But I'd need time to work on it, and something specific to work on… heh. Why would you feel frustrated? You can design GUIs in wxFormBuilder nowadays, I...

But you can already contribute to SL without knowing anything of [graphics] programming.

Will the registration email feature a link on which to complete registration? Re: Upcoming server updates

Can someone do a hard reset of the server in the mean while? It is dropping our hosts every few hours and preventing us from waiting for games.

SL is mostly ready

Can save/load not be implement as an open-ended replay? That way there'd be no special handling required.

Re: PV = global LOS

Changing a sloc results usually in a different engine binary hash. Which results in desync. If that were the case then I'd never sync since I build my own engines. Additionally people on different operating systems would not be able to play with each other. It is highly plausible that changing one ...

That is cool, but engine AIs simply crash the engine and newbies really love that.
